This beautiful condominium at Keystone is our second home. It is rarely rented and beautifully furnished with very high quality furnishings, linens, cookware and the like.
We are on the ground floor at the end of the hall so that there are not neighbors on either side. The building is very solid and quiet anyway but this means more solitude and spaciousness with four bedrooms and over 2300 square feet.
A wall of windows allows for an abundance of natural sunlight light and the absolute best ski slope views in Keystone - enjoy watching the skiers come down to the base of River Run and view the Torch Light Parade on New Years Eve from the warmth of your living room.
The place is very clean, and because not used as a rental, in very good shape. We will be selective to rent to one or two families, children welcome, with a maximum of eight. One bedroom has a single bed with trundle, perfect for kids and the other three bedrooms have king or queen beds (two master suites have kings and jetted tubs) and all three with bathroom en-suite.
It is just down the hall from fitness center, pool and jacuzzi and steam, as well as locker room for your skis and boots. And being on the ground floor, not waiting for the elevator which can be a problem at Lone Eagle on the upper floors. You will love this place.

Why Duncan Scribner chose Keystone
Keystone is a great family resort with plenty of challenge for advanced skiers and a really first class children's program. Our kids started with they were 2 or 3 and now at 8 and 12 are really great skiers and racers. The village is a two minute walk across a skier bridge and we are OUT OF THE VILLAGE where it can be noisy during the days and evenings. It is really dead quiet over here except there is some snow grooming which goes on a night (and the kids love to watch).
What makes this Condo unique
Again, the main thing about Lone Eagle is location and therefore quietude, but with easy access to the village and restaurants and shopping at all levels of price and quality. If you're familiar with Gorsuch, LTD, it is a high end store with all things mountain and great ski rentals, boots and gear. Then there are the more modestly priced shops as well, really good ones.

Best place we’ve stayed in Keystone. True family mountain but plenty challenging out of the way spots.
Luxury Ski-In / Ski-Out
I have been reluctant to review our stay in this Lone Eagle condo for purely selfish reasons; I simply don't want the competition.
Our family has stayed here the last two years and couldn't have had a better experience. We live in Dallas and like to ski Keystone because the slopes are less crowded and the lift lines are short. We also value true, ski in ski out from a well-kept, up to date, luxury condo.
First, The Lone Eagle Condominiums have the best location in Keystone. They are located right on the slopes next to the River Run lift. The complex is also a short walk to town (and Starbucks), ski rental locations, and the lift ticket booth. Because it is so easy, we also take advantage of Keystone night skiing and night sledding right in front of the building.
This particular condo has advantages that make it ideal for us. 4 bedrooms give us the room we need and seems to be a rare floor plan, in this building. The condo itself has a high end, luxury finish out with respect to the kitchen, bathrooms, furniture, linens, utensils and carpet. The unit is also very quiet due to its location at one end of the building. The owners live in Boulder and this is their weekend home. They are a pleasure to work with. From what we can tell, it is a very low volume rental and it shows.
This condo also has unique attributes that make it our top choice in the building. Technically, it is on the first floor but the building has a large parking garage below it. This unit is located at one end of the building and the terrain slopes downward, towards it, effectively making it a second floor unit. Skiers pass by below the windows. We retain our privacy but enjoy watching all of the activity. No other first floor unit has quite this advantage.
One negative of Lone Eagle is its single, slow elevator. This is a bottleneck in the mornings when skiers are all trying to get to the slopes at the same time. This unit is on the same floor, although on the opposite end of the building, as the ski lockers and exit point to the slope. We simply walk down the hall, put our boots on, grab our skies out of the locker and are skiing in minutes. We also don't wait on the elevator when we are ready to go into town for dinner; we simply take the stairs to the lobby and are on our way.
Luxury, convenience, quiet, and privacy; to us, this is what it is all about.
Wonderful place at Keystone Colorado
We have had the privilege of staying in this unit 4 times and absolutely love the unit. It has the best view of the slope so if part of your family prefers to stay in the warmth of the condo, they still feel a part of skiing. It is the most luxurious ski in and out that we have rented around the US in our 14 years. The ski lockers are convenient and roomy. The Condo is large and a home away from home.
