Needs updating in all aspects

Overall the condo was clean and the property (Pointe Santo) is amazing but the condo needs a lot of work. We had cabinet doors falling off and the amenities need upgrading. Knives were dull, silverware was falling apart, we didn't have a broom (messaged Royal Shell and they said they would send out a broom but never did), oven didn't work when we arrived (royal shell did come out and repair), kitchen faucet was leaking and twin beds were old and uncomfortable. We will not rent this particular unit again.

Not great, but okay

The condo is just so so in appearance; typical mid style rental, yet adequate for the stay. Though too high price for "mid". I've stayed at others that had finer furniture and appointments to make it more like home. Air conditioner is undersized for the summer heat. Couldn't get below 78 during the day and took all night to get to sleeping comfort. Pretty sure it ran non stop; owner could save a lot by installing a larger unit. We rented this for the top roof access, but on arrival the lounge chairs were junk; so we missed two nights on the roof on the only nights we had clear skies. Management replaced them in two days; on Monday after a Saturday arrival. That was great, but really, inspection should have replaced them upon last rental end. And when they changed the chairs, they spilled rust and mold junk all over the floor and stairs and spread footprints on the carpet inside too. Management had a cleaning crew the next day; didn't get all of it ..... none of this should have happened. Kitchen sink faucet defuser was broken when we arrived, so when we turned the faucet on high pressure water splattered all over the counter, sink, carpet, and everyone standing near. Something that should have been replaced before we arrived. Master bath sliding door was off the tracks when we arrived. Again, this should have been corrected before arrival on last cleaning. And no adjustment was received for all this mess we endured. just not something that should ever have happened. Also, the condo looks like a funeral home with plastic plants in every corner and table. Dust collects on every fake leaf. Smell was really bad when we arrived; had to go buy a couple cans of Lysol to keep the smell down. Perhaps due to owners dogs on carpet, as we saw a photo of two dogs on the master bedroom chest. If you don't like light when you sleep, the shades in the master are white and thin, so night light and morning sun comes in easily. Also second bedroom had nothing but a sheer, so the kids would wake up at sunrise too. The ONE elevator in the building barely fits 3 people. 4 is very intimate. 3'x5' maybe? There is no luggage cart; though a Bailey's shopping cart was there, which is the only thing that could fit in elevator. But we spent most of our time outside, and enjoyed the pool and beach and of course the other attractions for the reason we were there. View was great from the top and the screen area too!

Relaxing

We had a great time taking it easy. Sanibel area is wonderful. The pictures from the site were just like the real place. When we come back we will do the first floor. The 4th floor was a bit to many stairs.

Lovely 2 bedroom unit with great views.

Sanibel is a great vacation spot with tons of bike paths, lovely beaches and good restaurants. There are no chain burger joints! This two bedroom unit is spacious and well furnished. The open floor plan is great for entertaining or just letting the cook be part of the action. There are plenty of beach chairs in the unit although the condo complex provides lounge chairs right at the beach which is great.
