The Judge Stern House is a historic gem in downtown Newport! A one minute walk to Thames Street, two blocks from the harbor, 7 minute drive or bike ride to the beaches & cliff walk. Easily drive in and out of town with use of 4 parking spaces. This historic home has modern upgrades such as Central AC and an updated kitchen. Enjoy the entire property to yourself, inclusive of the large back yard. Perfect for families or groups of friends visiting Newport.

Excellent location! Comfortable and spacious for relaxation in multiple rooms and patio area. We loved the plants too - a great touch! Shopping & dining is right outside the front door! The wharf was beautiful and we can’t wait to go back!

Our group cannot think of a single flaw for this stay. The location can’t be beat, friendly hosts, and beautiful house/backyard. This stay can probably accommodate any group and anytime we come back we plan on staying here!

The house was perfect for our bachelorette party! Very clean and beautiful home with a great outdoor space. Aida and Jim were very helpful and attentive whenever we had questions they made sure to help us right away. I Would definitely recommend this place to friends and hoping to stay in this house again for future Newport Trips

Wonderful in every way!

This rental exceeded our expectations. It’s the first time we have rented and found that the pictures online did not do the house justice. The photos made the house look small, which was fine, but when we arrived it was surprisingly spacious. The location was ideal! It is literally one block away from the action, yet quiet at night. We brought six 16 year old girls. The location felt safe in every way. The house is fully equipped. There were kid toys, board games and baby furniture - anything you need, it’s there. The backyard is beautiful. In addition to all of this, the communication and consideration of the owners was wonderful. They even set up a cupcake order for our granddaughter (and her friends) to pick up for her birthday. We have rented a lot of homes. This was my favorite.

Comfortable, good space

Lovely family gathering in this New England 2 story. Spacious, clean, well stocked, great back yard, adequate parking, good location and easy check in. Kitchen and bathrooms updated and included all the amenities and utensils. Location is short walk to the ocean, restaurants and shops. Owners were easy to contact and very helpful. Thank you!

Highly recommend for a Newport trip

My friends and I recently stayed at this house for a weekend and can't say enough good things about it! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and exactly as advertised in the listing online. It's location is incredibly convenient as it's within walking distance to all of the restaurants, bars and shops in downtown Newport. Aida and Jim were wonderful hosts who were very accommodating, communicative, and available for questions at any time during the stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient and fun place to stay in Newport!

As a couple, we love to travel the world and discover new places. With Covid-19 and the arrival of our twin boys, we slowed down a bit, but we haven't stopped. This Newport house has been our alternative to traveling Europe or other parts of the world and we are so happy to share it with others.

The space
We bought this house as a summer place to raise our twin boys. We looked for a while until we found this perfect home. We are very happy with the generous space, the 4 bedrooms, the back yard and above all, the location. As big travelers ourselves, we are happy to open our home to others like us, who appreciate a good get together with family and friends.
This house has been on Airbnb for a while but has just been relisted from us as new owners. See last picture showing ~5 star reviews from prior listing which we continue to improve on.
