Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)
With spectacular views of three mountain ranges in the Shields River Valley, the cabin is a perfect place to get away from it all. Perfect for a writer's retreat, family getaway, or use as a home base to explore Montana. It's about a 20 mile drive to local skiing at Bridger Bowl, and only two miles to the small town of Clyde Park which has a country market, 2 bars, post office, hardware store, and gas station. Close to excellent fishing in the Shields or Yellowstone Rivers, and about an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park. The larger town of Livingston which has many art galleries, entertainment, fine dining, and everything else you might need is 18 miles away. We are also about an hour drive to the closest airport and 2 hours to Billings.
Conveniently located off Hwy 89 on the route between Yellowstone and Glacier Parks, the cabin is in the heart of ranch country on a gravel road, perfect for those morning walks. At night you might hear owls hooting, elk bugling and coyotes yapping, while you look up at the star filled sky!
The cabin is quaintly decorated with country charm throughout. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a full size bed. Both have new memory foam mattresses in 2016, very comfortable. In the living area there is a single hideabed couch. We can also accommodate with a Graco Pack and Play for baby. We can provide 2 mountain bikes for riding the local roads if you are interested, just let us know!
There are only 2 neighbors nearby, which is ourselves and one other house.

Relaxing great view
We had a great time. The house was very clean, relaxing and decorated very nice.
This vacation home was wonderful, from the very first night felt right at home, everything was included that we needed, the beds are great, washer and dryer makes for great convenience. Also the scenery from this location is beautiful and we saw herds of Elk across the valley, also saw a bull moose about 2-3 miles up the road. Great place.

Quiet and comfortable
A few minutes from beautiful backcountry roads and not far from wonderful mountain hikes. Will definitely stay again on our next road trip with the dogs!
Nice place with quiet and relaxing views
The place was nice and clean. Horses made it special as did the front yard. Beautiful and relaxing place to sit and enjoy sunset and coffee sunrise. The only suggestion is better chairs on the porch, but the table and chairs in the yard worked wonderfully.
Lovely ranch style cabin!
Really enjoyed staying here while exploring Yellowstone. Nicely away from the Yellowstone tourist masses. We enjoyed the quiet time on the porch watching sunset. Linda was a such a wonderful host, giving us privacy but also making sure we had everything we needed.
Clean and just exactly as advertised
Great stay and nice owners. The horses outside were a great bonus!
A great place to unwind. Mountain views, and many local scenic drives in the country. Hiking and mountain biking is nearby, with Yellowstone National Park just a little over an hour away. There is also an enclosed Grizzly Bear park on the Bozeman pass about half an hour away. The night sky is perfect for viewing all the stars and planets. It's very possible you'll hear a pack of coyotes howling in the distance, as well as the elk bugling. The gravel road is perfect for your morning or evening walk. Most likely our horses will be on the property, and they love carrots, apples, and attention!
