Comfort: everything in this home has been designed with comfort as priority. Luxurious beds, a cozy feel, a warm, crackling log-burner. Unlimited high-speed fibre internet, a 55-inch smart TV hooked up to Netflix, and much, much more? It’s all here, ready for a relaxed sporting holiday.

We have a Sauna which can be used at extra charge.

It’s time to take your shoes off and put your feet up.

Please note that the village is over an hour's drive from Christchurch, so please make sure you stock up on groceries and other supplies before you escape into the mountains. There are no supermarkets in the area, and it's a 20 minute drive down to Springfield to refuel.

Great winter getaway spot!

Fantastic cabin in a gorgeous location

The cabin was the perfect getaway! The location was excellent for walks, surrounded by scenic views that made every step enjoyable. The home itself was clearly well cared for, which made our stay even more comfortable. Check-in was a breeze, and the host was incredibly accommodating and communicative throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful retreat!

Cosy chalet

Great place for a family to retreat when the wearer is cold, as it’s so cosy! Everything is clean and tidy, with space to relax in this great Alpine location. Biking, skiing, walking or chilling - a great escape !

Amazing Alpine Abode

The house itself is spacious and warm with all the modern conveniences such as high-speed wifi. The fantastic connectivity of the place allowed myself and others to work remotely over the week with ease. The house also boasts many bedrooms and beds. There are a couple of odd concessions you have to make for the stay which I put down to the isolation of the village. A fantastic launch point for adventures in Arthur's Pass National Park, Craigieburn Forest Park and even the Tourless tussocklands which are all within 30minutes or less of the village. In the winter a fantastic launch point for snow activities being spitting distance from Porters, Cheeseman, Craigieburn and Broken River ski areas

Great Place and Location

We enjoyed our stay at Mark and Kay’s cabin in Castle Hill! We were close to the walks we wanted to do around Arthur’s Pass. The area is beautiful and without many people on the beautiful trails in the area. The cabin was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.
