This 3-bedroom, each with a king-size bed, 2.5- bath property features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, an impressive natural stone fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen for preparing a gourmet meal while watching the waves. The balcony off the dining room offers a peaceful setting for grilling on the gas bbq while relaxing with a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

This great location makes it easy to enjoy all the Mendocino Coast offers. If you are up for some adventure, you can be at the beach within 3 minutes. Enjoy some of the nearby dining options like the Harbor House, Elk Cove & Greenwood Restaurants, and Elk Store & Deli, which are only an 8-minute drive. You can be at Albion River Inn Restaurant, Ledford House Restaurant, and the Albion Store in less than 10 min. Heritage House Restaurant, Little River Inn Restaurant, Little River Market & Deli, and Van Damme State Park are just 15 min away. The Mendocino Village and Big River Beach are 17 min away. Heading inland, you can easily access Hendy Woods State Park and a day of wine tasting in the Anderson Valley.

Reviewer Comments: As always, Navarro Mist was immaculate with attention to every detail, including special touches like gift bow shaped bath towels, a small Irish Whiskey offering with chocolates, fresh flowers, and ample oak wood to burn. Stunning forest and ocean views. The one improvement would be a place to hang one's clothes in the second bedroom. Be aware, there are steps up to the home and no grab bars in the baths.

Navarro Mist is a Must Stay on Mendocino Coast!

We loved this property and look forward to booking again! Very clean, well supplied, and great location/ocean views. Very comfortable and easy to get to. Be aware there is not much cell service but great wifi and a landline was available. We love Navarro Mist!

Therapeutic Reset

The property with its serene view of the forest and the ocean was a much needed 'reset' for two hard-working Stanford Health Care nurses. This home was accurately represented on VBRO and the decor reflected both the past and present. The minor issues we had was that one of the faucets in the master bathroom came off and the porch light on the patio near the outdoor table did not come on. Both were reported upon departure. Would I stay at this property again?? You betcha!!!!

Amazing Property!

My family and I absolutely loved this property with all of its beauty and gorgeous scenery! The home itself is awesome, very clean, very well decorated/designed, and what we loved was the coziness it provided. Everything we could think of was provided by the host, and when a couple of evenings were chilly, firewood was there for us to use in the exquisite fireplace. The beach is a few minutes away, and Mendocino is just a short drive away, so excellent location! We would love to return again and hope to! This was one of the best homes we’ve been to hands down!

Loved this house

We were 2 couples so we did not use the downstairs bedroom. We used the bedrooms on the main floor and they were great. The house was very clean and very comfortable. The bedding is first class and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen is has everything that you need - - microwave, coffee pot, toaster, etc. The living room is spacious and has a wood burning fireplace. When we arrived one of the sink drains was not working. We did not get to the house until 4:30 and by the time we contacted the rental agent she was not able to get anyone to fix it that night. But, the repairman came the next morning and we were given a bottle of champagne for our inconvenience. Can't ask more than that! I highly recommend this rental.

Great week on the Mendo coast

Thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely home high above the Pacific. It is spacious, immaculately maintained, super clean and well equipped, and the surrounding area is rich in beautiful, and delicious, places to visit. Recommend hitting Elk Store for some great sandwiches and snacks! The deck is awesome for hours of gazing at the incredible view - there's even a telescope to check out passing boats or maybe a whale or two. There are games and puzzles if the weather goes bad, and plenty of space for a family of four to spread out. Deer come through the yard occasionally. A couple minor things that guests should know - washer-dryer is provided but not detergent; Also, not that this bothered us, but the house is situated directly above Highway 1, so you do hear cars going by with some regularity in between the distant crashing waves from far below. All in all, well recommended as a supremely comfortable base from which to explore one of the world's great coastlines. We'd happily return!

The entire home was tidy, clean, and even had special touches like towels folded like swans. This is something I’ve seen in other countries and on cruises, but not here in the US. The views were amazing. The location was great as the area was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again!

Private and Beautiful

Navarro Mist is well described online and we encountered no surprises. The location is private, has an awesome view (when the fog rolls out), and is a short drive to Elk, Albion, and Mendocino. We found excellent restaurants in all three of those towns. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace as the "mist" was present most of our stay. The staff of Mendocino Preferred Properties was easy and pleasant to communicate with. The check-in/check-out process was seamless. The decor and furnishings are elegant and understated. I would highly recommend Navarro Mist for a memorable vacation.
