Gorgeous and bright house with large kitchen, living room, work space and cozy bedrooms; large terrace and backyard with pool and barbecue area, located in a quiet neighborhood with nature and 5 minute from the beach and Manasota Key. Very good situation also for shops and restaurants. The place is pet friendly, near the paw park beach and natural parks.

Memorial weekend getaway

The home was ok, beds were comfortable although bedrooms were too close together for comfort, with 2 couples having to share a bathroom with sliding pocket doors. Waking everyone when using bathroom at night. The house is a duplex so there are others sharing the home. Pool is in need of much repair and was not very clean. Needs a good regular pest control as presence of spiders and roach droppings in cabinets. Would I stay again? Probably not. Used my One Key Cash on this one so no out of pocket money spent.

Florida 2025

We enjoyed our visit, and were pleased with the property and its location to places we wanted to go. The pool is a bit outdated and could use an update, and fix the pool lights. But otherwise for just the two of us, it was nice and Carmen and her husband were very friendly and Quick to respond when we had questions.

Clean and tidy and excellent amenities

We were very pleased with the property. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Had a little problem getting the key out of the lockbox upon arrival but Carmen responded immediately and got it for us. She was an excellent host.

Old Florida vibe

There are a lot of pluses to this house in South Venice. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet and conveniently located. The house was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated with a lot of nice little touches. We appreciated allowing our dog to stay with us( and the yard is fully fenced). The outside could use a little TLC but that did not distract from our stay. We did not use the pool but it was nice sitting out back having our coffee This is a very good value for the price. Thank you Carmen! .

Cozy place

Pros: livingroom and kitchen were fine. Older, but clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy. Area easy to beaches and shopping. Cons: yard needs TLC. Master bedroom access is through the only bathroom or through the other bedroom. No hall access. No problem for us, but if we were with another couple would have been very uncomfortable.

Loved our stay here!

This was a perfect rental for the month. Was able to enjoy it with my two dogs and then husband who flew in a few times. WiFi worked great on my days I had to work. Felt very safe in the neighborhood and spoke with a few of the neighbors who were all very kind. Carmen was a great host, very attentive when things came up. Back yard is fenced which was great for the dogs. Weather was amazing and was able to enjoy the pool. It is not heated which we did not mind one bit. I bought and left some pool floaties for future guests to enjoy! It flew by way too fast and we hope to stay there again in the future!

We felt right at home. Nice layout for 2 people or a small family, very clean, comfortable bed, nice neighborhood and Carmen was very quick to respond whenever we had a question. Pool is not heated but super close to the beaches and shopping centers. We would stay here again when in the area.

Good location in Florida

My family enjoyed the stay and the house. They also accommodated our 3 dogs. I would stay here again.

Awesome Place!

My family and I loved our stay. It was very close to the beach and it had a beautiful backyard pool as well. The home was pet friendly too so we were able to bring them and they had a blast. Super sweet host as well. We’ll definitely stay again! :)

Great vacation spot

This was a great home to stay in! My friend and I were in town for a birthday. The neighborhood is very safe and close to so many local spots. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

Needs work

Beauty in eye of beholder. Not exactly 'gorgeous'. Pros: very clean, nice kitchen, living room and dining area, nice bedroom furniture and very comfortable beds, 2 miles from beach. Cons: small, dated bathroom, AC hardly worked in bedrooms, pool not covered, needs significant repairs and had debris in it for first several days. Host agreed to 1pm checkout and was texting me at 10:20 AM asking us to leave. Despite forgetting this, host was very nice. Great if you want budget price and close proximity to beach.

Great stay

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Well stocked with most things you would need, grocery store not far for specifics you might want. Comfortable furnishings too! The host was always quick to answer ant questions we had. Would recommend this home for anyone searching for a house close to things to do but far enough removed to be quiet and relaxing.

Nice place with great location

Everything was pretty nice. Location was great! 5 mins from beautiful beach. Here’s some specifics about the place: The pool needs some TLC but it still works like it should and it was clean. 4 beach chairs and cooler 👍 The kitchen is the center of this place. The appliances all worked as they should. I was a bit surprised at the lack of items stocked in the kitchen. There was only one very small cookie sheet for the oven. There were pots and pans too, but not much for baking. Lots of silverware as well. With all the cabinet space I figured there would be some more dishes and kitchen things. There were no spices or anything, and the cooking utensils like the spatula were pretty rough. Sometimes when I stay in these types of places, it’s like I’m just borrowing someone’s kitchen. This one felt more like it was never used. Also next to the kitchen there was a gold idol, I think it was some Hindu thing. We did not like that at all, and it was left out of the pictures. The living room was super great and comfy. Lots to watch on the large TV. The bedrooms and linens were all nice and clean, and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was a bit dated, but everything worked fine. Lastly, the location was excellent. It was a short drive to the beach, and everything we needed was a short drive away. Overall I would recommend this place, but I would expect to need to buy more than you would usually expect to use the kitchen. Also, I’d ditch that gold idol. That was a big turn off.

Escape to the beach

Yes the house is very clean! But what’s most important when going on vacation to the beach ? 🏖️ short drive to the beach ! Comfortable beds!!!! Slept like a baby! The place was cozy clean and yes it has a pool ! For the two of us it was perfect! Communication was great! She was on top of any request or need! Response was quick! We had no issues! Handy washer and dryer! Beach towels chairs and we had the prettiest umbrella on the beach! 🏖️ we were there to relax and house hunt! The place just had a great vibe! Will definitely stay there again! THANKS ☺️

Great stay

We had a very nice stay at Carmens house. We were close to the beaches and were able to enjoy the pool when we werent at the beach. The kitchen was 100% my favorite part as it is gorgeous! And we loved how close to everything we were. We were 15 minutes from the beaches and downtown venice. The only thing we wish was included in the description is that the owners stay on site on the otherside of the house. However they never bothered us while we were there, and Carmen was great about responding to anything needed. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Fantastic stay!

We can’t say enough about how nice this home is. It’s one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed and just checked all the boxes for us! It was much more spacious than we expected and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in a convenient location, close to shopping, dining, and beautiful beaches! Book this one! You will be glad you did!
