We love this stunning modern getaway in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

My family has stayed in multiple of the luxury getaways properties over the last few years and we have never been disappointed! The latest we stayed in was the contemporary Snowline Chalet. It is fabulous to say the least. The kitchen was stunning and well-equipped. The beautiful giant sliding glass doors open up to the huge private covered patio with the hot tub and Sauna. We loved that it had two dishwashers, kitchen sinks and two laundry machines for our large family. This particular property has two master suites with large beautiful bathrooms. The two masters bedrooms are great for when you have multiple families staying together. Everything in the snowline community is walking distance to the river, the outdoor heated swimming pool, playground, tennis court, volleyball basketball or horse shoes. Don’t forget about the fully stocked Trout pond! Glacier is a two minute drive and you could walk to chair nine (restaurant) if you wanted too. It is quiet and relaxing and a wonderful place to get away for a couple days in the summer or during Mt. Baker ski and snowboarding season. Summer or winter my family is always asking to return! Thank you Luxury Getaways!! Keep up the outstanding work!

Beautiful location, modern style chalet - some improvements required

  • 3 of 5

Architectural style - modern; well located in beautiful Mt. Baker area; furnishings adequate; rental costs medium to high range;

No heated pool as advertised; some other improvements required e.g. Wi Fi not working; bar-b-q dirty and burner needs replacing; light fixture in bedroom (to left of stairway) in area next to bathroom not working; king size bedsprings in same bedroom noisey; design and condition of pull-out couch (in room with bunk beds) quite uncomfortable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I called and spoke with the Snowline Community manager about the pool. We reviewed the pool records for the dates you stayed. At no time was there any maintenance issues, refilling of the pool or any temperature drops below 80 degrees. The pool is maintained between 80-84 degrees during the summer and we have not had a single day when the pool temperature dropped below 80 degrees since it opened in May. The WIFI was tested and used hours prior to your check in and was found to be working. If you were having difficulty with the password or getting your electronic devices to log in, I wish you would have called me right away. We are here to help sort these things out. Often it can be as easy and misreading the password or resetting the modem. The clubhouse also has free wifi with no password, you could have emailed me also. The light bulbs and one BBQ part that was not working, has been replaced. The Pottery Barn Sleeper Sofa has the highest quality folding mattress on the market. We have never had a complaint about it before, but I am sorry you did not find it comfortable. In our welcome binder, we ask that any issues be reported as soon as you know during check in. We want you to have a wonderful stay with us. It is hard for us to solve any issues when we don't find out about them until 2 weeks after check out.

Great escape into the forest

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an amazing trip out to this Cabin for a weekend in October. The Chalet is extremely well kept, and a great design for lounging around and entertaining. I would, and plan to stay here again. The host was quick to respond when we had a question. Not a very far drive from Bellingham, but you will feel like you are hours away and secluded once you get there. A great starting point to enjoy baker for the day as well, I would say you are about 35 minutes from the lower lodge. All of the appliances worked, the hot tub was ready to go when we got there, it felt like home within minutes of our arrival.

great space in glacier

  • 5 of 5

house was big, felt bigger than the photos, which seemed big to me. Great space for 7 snowboarders to eat and sleep between days at Mt Baker.

There were no coffee filters, and while the kitchen is awesome, there wasn't quite the right collection of pots and pans for cooking a meal large enough for the crew we had. It was a bit of a struggle each night to cook in quantity.

Bring Salt and Pepper. this is pretty clear in the description if you read it, which I did, but we all still forgot to bring salt and pepper. And Coffee filters, the bowl shape, not the more triangular.

We could not get the Sauna to work, seemed overly complicated, took us 20 minutes to find the indoor light switch that let us power it up, then couldn't get it to stay on long enough to heat past 50 deg. It kept shutting off when we weren't looking.

But this place is nice, clean, and big. Plenty of room, and plenty of comfort. Worth every penny. I would absolutely stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay with a group

  • 5 of 5

I've been staying at the Contemporary Snowline Chalet for the past 4 years and love it! The hot tub is always ready for us when we arrive, the kitchen is fully equipped for our large group meals, and the Mt. Baker Ski Area is a fix 25 minute drive up the road. The house is spacious in both the living room and bedrooms. One gotcha - the stove is an induction stove. Most cookware doesn't work with it unless it's cast-iron or an inductive steel (stainless steel does not work). It's also a bit tough to figure out the stove, but the most trouble we had was it not working due to using non-inductive cookware.

It's overall a beautiful house and I can't wait to visit again next year!

16 Year Old Birthday/Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a "girls weekend" for our 16 year olds birthday, big splurge but lots of fun!

It's a beautiful house, the girls were duly impressed and felt very spoiled. Lots of nice touches that aren't found everywhere - heated tile floors in the bathrooms, excellent lighting design and it's in a gorgeous area. Contemporary and spa like are definitely true.

The owner even arranged for the volleyball net to be left up for us after the summer season ended.
