!!!New Listing!!! Welcome to Alpine Brook Lodge! (Larimer County #22-ZONE3269) Located in beautiful Tahosa Valley, the home sits on ten pristine, secluded acres nestled between Twin Sisters and Longs Peak. The Alpine Brook flowing down from the base of Longs Peak ripples through the property, attracting moose, elk, deer, bear, bobcat, a variety of birds, and other wildlife. This is truly a mountain oasis. You will love relaxing on the deck, taking in the breathtaking views, and enjoying the fresh mountain air.
Arguably one of the most beautiful valleys in Colorado, Enos Mills himself (dubbed the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park” by the Denver Post) homesteaded on the adjoining property. The cabin he built in 1885 is still located on the property. The Enos Mills Cabin Museum is a must visit during your stay (appointment needed). Another legendary mountain man, Kit Carson, had a cabin on the Alpine Brook Lodge property. Though no remnants remain, it was located by the highway near the property entrance.
Located just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park’s Wild Basin, Longs Peak, Twin Sisters, and Lily Lake trailheads, this is the perfect “base camp” for your hiking and exploring adventures. High mountain lakes abound in the area. Want an afternoon in town? Estes Park is a short 15 minute drive from the cabin. Other nearby mountain towns to explore include Allenspark (10 minute drive – fill up your water bottle in Crystal Springs!), Lyons (30 minute drive), and Nederland (45 minute drive along Peak to Peak Scenic Byway). The drive from Denver International Airport is only 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The lodge has been thoughtfully and lovingly decorated by the owners. Scandinavian touches throughout speak to the family’s heritage. The house accommodates up to ten guests with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, but come together for meals, games, and family time. The main level has two spacious living areas, each with a beautiful stone fireplace. There is a breakfast area in the kitchen, as well as a large dining area in one of the living rooms. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans, standard coffee maker, electric kettle, crockpot, waffle maker, and more. There is also a propane grill on the deck with ample outdoor seating. The master King bedroom, equipped with an ensuite full bathroom with jetted tub, is on the main level. This level also has a Queen bedroom, as well as a full bathroom. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms share a “Jack and Jill” bathroom (shared shower room, private toilet and sink area for each bedroom), making it a perfect space for kids. One bedroom has two Twin beds while the other has two Queens. The lower level is a wonderful game room where you can curl up on the couch with a good book, do a puzzle, play a board game, or challenge each other to a game of pool. The couch folds out if you need an extra bed.
Though this is Alpine Brook Lodge’s first summer to be offered as a vacation rental, property manager (and neighbor 😊) Laura is not new to property management. (She also manages her family cabin - check out the 5-star reviews at VRBO #1808724). Feel free to message her with any questions you may have as you plan your perfect vacation. She is happy to help with restaurant and activity suggestions, hiking recommendations to fit your group’s abilities, and answer any other questions you may have.

This was our second time staying at Alpine Brook Lodge. The property is beautiful, and the cabin is perfect for our entire family to stay together. We enjoyed hiking at the RMNP and exploring the property. Laura is a wonderful host! We will definitely be returning to Alpine Brook Lodge!!

Thank you Kim! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. SkyRun would love to host you on your next stay to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Perfect all around!!! Easy to locate, perfect size for our family of nine. The kids loved the gameroom, as did the adults. We put out the hummingbird feeder and they came in a bunch. We had a great time in the Park and in Estes. Thanks Laura.
Alpine Brook Lodge was a wonderful rental home for our family reunion! The stunning setting in the Rockies is breathtaking. Everything you’ll need for your stay is conveniently stocked.Laura, our host, is an exceptional person. Very attentive to our requests and provides great advice. You won’t be disappointed, except when it’s time to leave.
My husband and our four large sons stayed here in mid July. If anything, this cabin was not merely accurate for the descriptions and pictures, it was even better. Absolutely beautiful, perfectly appointed, comfortable and spacious. We had so much fun watching movies at night in the living room, playing games around the table, and practicing our pool playing skills on the table in the game room when we were not off hiking Rocky Mountain national Park or exploring Estes Park. Do yourself a favor and book this place immediately, you will not regret it.
Wish I could have stayed longer. Wonderful place, house and property. Couldn’t hear any road noise. Laura is a great host and made me feel very welcome.
Amazing stay with our family! We enjoyed relaxing in the home after all of our outdoor adventures. Lots of room for all 8 of us to spread out and enjoy. CO was beautiful and this home was a perfect fit for us. Laura and as very helpful and attentive. Thank you for helping us create a memorable family vacation!
Property location is great for access to park & many hiking trails.
Kitchen had wide range of utensils, skillets, pretty much everything you would need to make meals.
Layout provided nice group space plus everyone still had there own space to get some quiet time as well.

We highly appreciate your feedback Alan! It makes us super content to hear your stay was excellent, and we could provide you with everything needed during your visit. Skyrun Estes Park would love to host you again.
A family of 10 enjoyed the idyllic setting of this home. We spent time on the bridge over the stream, hiking for impressive views of Longs Peak, wild flowers galore, swinging, hummingbirds were a favorite and seeing a moose on the property our last morning was thrilling!!! Great property and amazing property manager, Laura!
We had a blast unplugging from life at this property!! The home itself was amazing! Perfect for all! The kitchen was like you were at your own home. Had everything and more you needed!! The beds were amazing and so comfy! Had a blast exploring the property and enjoying nature!! Give it a 10 out of 10!!!
Property just as described....amazing!! We had a wonderful time. Project Manager was awesome...so thoughtful and helpful. Perfect location...so close to RMNP with wonderful hiking. House was wonderful. Spacious enough for all of us with all the amenities and lots of games. The property is beautiful and perfect for exploring or for relaxing and reading a book by the stream.
This is the perfect place to take in all that RMNP has to offer. On the serene 10 acres you are surrounded by mother nature at her best! 360 degree view of mountains, animals, floral, a lovely steam running through the property and much more. The house was ideal for our 10 family members. It offers many areas for a quiet moment or for everyone to be together. The property manager was terrific. She was quick to respond to all questions before our arrival and any we had during our stay. I highly recommend this property.
We had a terrific stay at the house, and Laura, the property manager was great to work with. The house was spotless when we arrived and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out, allowing us to spend time together while still having enough space to get some quiet time to work or read a book when needed. The lot is beautiful, and we watched a small bull moose eating willow within 100 yards of the house one evening at dusk. Estes Park has lots of options for dinners, drinks, shopping and fun, while the mountains offer great hiking and scenic views. We are already planning to come back to Colorado next year.
What a gem. The stream/ brook running through the property is what one would envision of being out in the woods. The mountain views are stunning as are sunrise/ sunsets.
The house is very clean and not fake Colorado. Meaning none of the typical pine-knot furniture, elk antlers, etc.. Well stocked kitchen, soft bath towels, fun playroom and tons of room to spread out if you want a break from family time.
My mother loves the sofa in the front room by the dining area.
I don’t really have the words to describe how special this home is. The house is large, sits on 10 private acres with magnificent views. It’s comfortable and filled with personal touches. As a family, we all remarked on how it was clear this home is well loved by the family that owns it and that made it even more special. I came with my family, stayed for 4 nights and all were planning when we might be able to return. We watched buck grazing while sitting on the deck, took walks on the property while taking in the magestic view of the mountains including Longs peak. The house is fully equipped. We are a family of cooks and we’re not wanting for anything. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and brought my own coffee beans. I asked Laura (property manager) if there was a coffee grinder when I arrived and she said unfortunately no but when I opened a kitchen cupboard, I discovered a brand new one! Everything about our stay was perfect. My family can’t wait to go back.
