The grandkids had a wonderful time in their own bunk room. the short walk to the beach made it easy to to get there 4 or 5 times a day for sunrise, chair set up after lunch, after pool ,kites and ghost crab tracking.

My family and I travel to OBX every summer and this was by far our favorite house yet! Super close to the beach and an easy walk, close drive to grocery stores and the seafood market/souvenir shops. The pool was in the sun pretty much all day which was great! They have a shaded/roofed area with plenty of seating next to the hot tub right next to the pool so my parents were able to seek shade and still be involved with all of their grandkids. A couple of the chairs were a little broken but still useable and the grill was brand new looking! We loved that there was a mini fridge outside too so we didn’t have to run inside constantly. They certainly weren’t short on fridges which we loved, especially when you need to stock up for the week. This house had everything you could think of stocked in the kitchen. Overall, a clean home.. no rental is going to be perfect obviously but we were very impressed. Plenty of room and beautiful open kitchen/living area, little space out back for the kids to play behind the pool area. Every single bedroom had a bathroom connected and there were even extra bathrooms besides them so it made bedtime showers super quick and easy! We loved having a washer and dryer and they both worked really well. I really can’t think of anything that stood out as a negative for us! We really enjoyed our week!

When we got there the air conditioning system for the basement and 2nd floor was not working. Didn’t get fixed until Friday and we left Saturday. The window units worked off and on. The temperature inside was 79. Dishes were put away dirty and we had to wash them before using. No lights working in pool area. Never was fixed so really couldn’t hang by pool after dark. All 4 garbage cans were full so we couldn’t put anything in them. I was told they would be taken care of Tuesday but were not and didn’t get emptied until Wednesday when it was garbage pick up. I put all 4 cans out Tuesday morning by the curb! I have never checked into a house where we had to make our own beds, clean and put away all dishes upon departure! I have had to put them in the dishwasher and run them but not have to then put them away! Not sure what you are paying your cleaning service for!Price did not seem appropriate with everything that was wrong for the week!! Very dissatisfied with the property!
