The cabin is very clean, comfortable and the mountain views are amazing. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The linens and towels were good quality. The appliances, including the washer/dryer unit, are very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Communication with the owner was great. She was prompt and even gave us many suggestions about where to visit in the area. Would absolutely stay there again.
Our stay was amazing. Happy Hours cabin has a breathtaking view of the Smokies. Seems like the mountain ranges are never ending. Mrs Kathleen was a wonderful host and was quick to respond. She recommended several places to dine and visit while we were there. The cabin had everything you would need for your stay. We had a memorable and very pleasurable stay at the Happy Hours cabin.
Cabin was just as described. We vacation to the area on a near annual basis and this was one of the best cabins yet. We would definitely stay here again.

The host was great, communication was excellent. Gave us some great pointers for the area. The cabin was the best. The best view ever! Very clean. Kids loved the hot chocolate packs supplied. Parking level. Enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool in the evenings. Would definitely rent again.
Had a great stay at Happy Hours Cabin! All the kitchen amenities you could need, awesome hot tub, and spectacular views. Kathleen was right on the ball with great communication the whole time. Next time back we bring the kids!

This cabin was amazing!! The Smoky Mountain View’s were breathtaking. By far the best vacation we have ever had!!
My only negative comment would be that the couch was horribly uncomfortable and was hard to sit on and watch movies.

I'm grateful for your honest review of the couch, I will be replacing it as I do agree with you. I hope the couch didn't hinder your joyful time on vacation! Thank you for your honest review.
Our family had the best time staying with Happy Hours. We were absolutely on cloud 9. The views were exactly as they were in photos.. breathtaking. The drive up was beautiful. Stepping into the house we couldn’t wait to look around at everything with the second floor being a highlight featuring games and deck with hot tube. We will be back again soon.

It's music to my ears to hear you all had such a wonderful stay! Thank you for choosing Happy Hours Cabin and come back anytime!
We enjoyed our stay at Happy Hours so much. You cannot beat the view from the porches looking out at the mountains. The hot tub was fabulous. We had plenty of room for our family of 4. We love the location away from the crowds of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The workout room at the Preserve common space is nice to have as an option! Kathleen was a fabulous host with great suggestions for things to do and very responsive to any questions we had. We will be back sooner rather than later. We recommend Dollywood, hiking in the national park (Elkmont), Goats on the Roof alpine coasters, and breakfast at Hillbilly’s.
My family had a great stay at Happy Hours. We were looking for the perfect view and we got exactly what we wanted. Panoramic, beautiful, and quiet views. The home has perfect amenities with games and hot tub. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all of the basics you need if you are staying in and fixing meals, even some basic spices that you might forget to pack. As a bonus we also saw bears twice, just walking across the road as we pulled in, and wandering around down below the home. If you worry about driving in the mountains the road up was smoothly paved and always wide enough for two cars. We went tubing, hiking in the park, and enjoyed meals at Peaceful Side Social in Townsend. It is a great place to stay and enjoy the mountains.

About the host
Hosted by Kathleen Armour Walker
I'm Kathleen, a native Tennessean. I love the Smoky Mountains, as I have fond childhood memories with my family vacationing in the mountains. I think of cool crisp mornings, pancakes, go karts, the strip in Gatlinburg, and of course the bears! Now, as I have my own family we love Dollywood, the National Park, yummy places to eat, and of course we still love the bears. We love this place, along with about 12 million other folks, as our Great Smoky Mountains are the most visited National Park in the Country. I am always happy to answer any questions about the area as I'm up often and enjoy the beauty, once you sit on the that porch and watch a sunrise, you'll be smitten as well.
Why they chose this property
The Preserve Resort located in the beautiful and historic Wears Valley, has street lights, seasonal plantings, a community feel. We enjoy the cozy mountain vibe of the resort. We love Wears Valley as it has it's own fun vibe. We enjoy slipping to into the park through Metcalf Bottoms which is only about 4 miles from the bottom of the mountain. The resort is also close to Cades Cove, the most visited attraction in the National Park.
What makes this property unique
Happy Hours is a phenomenal cabin, it took my breath away upon my first step in the door. The wall of windows, the view, the rock solid cabin feel, it's all there, everything one needs for the mountain trip of a lifetime. You'll find a 30" charcoal grill, hot tub, 2 levels of porches, rocking chairs, wonderful kitchen, open living area, 2nd floor huge area with pool table, foosball, 2 sleeping areas, it's the 3rd floor Bears Den that my young son loves. It's a children's sleeping zone, the littles love it! The cabin boasts 2 large bathrooms, that's important for a good trip. Cleanliness is a must always; we pay attention to every detail that is important. Ceiling to floor, we know clean is important to our family and it is also so for yours. We love sharing our piece of paradise with others, it's my pleasure!
