Immerse yourself in rich history while you relax in your comfortable, one-bedroom apartment with kitchenette. Ideally located in the 2nd oldest building in town, you'll be just steps from the world-renowned attractions of Lower Town Harpers Ferry

Easy access if you're biking the C&O Canal. The Harpers Ferry train station is just across the street. A 2-minute walk brings you to the scenic confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers as well as Harpers Ferry National Park and John Browns Fort.

On-site parking is complimentary for our guests!

IMPORTANT: The Harpers Ferry train station is just across the street and trains pass by day AND night. Many guests tell us that's one of the things they love about the place, but it can be loud. It's also a very old building and you will hear noise from adjacent apartments. If the noise will bother you, please do not book this property.

There is a security camera overlooking the parking area.

PLEASE NOTE: We kindly request that guests sign our "Potomac Adventure" rental agreement within 72 hrs of booking. We'll send an email with the link to our agreement as soon as you finalize your reservation.

Incredible location and property

Our trip to Harpers Ferry was one of the best we've had in recent memory, and this property is a big reason why. Its cozy feel and perfect location make this an easy recommend for anyone interested in taking a trip to the area.

Just like description

My husband and I had a nice day in Harpers Ferry. Enjoyed watching the trains come into the station, great location with restaurants nearby.

Beautiful historic property. Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Super close to everything! Very clean and nicely decorated.

Truly the best location for a stay!

Park your car and walk to all the wonderful sites that town has to offer. My fiancé loved watching the trains come and go, and they did not wake us through the night. The outlets in the living room didn't work, but that wasn't a big enough deal to remove a star. The rocking chairs on the porch were so comfortable, and it was great to have a free reserved parking spot since it costs 20 and is difficult to get a public spot later in the day to tour. Within two blocks, you have several options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a great cup of coffee, or a treat for the kids. Fishing along the Shenandoah is also within walking distance. The Potomac across the street is actually within Maryland's border so be careful if you have a WV license. The building is secure, and I truly have no complaints.

Very pleased

Had a great weekend stay about as close as you can get to the historic Harpers Ferry location. Pretty cool to stay in such an historic building in an area of such rich history. Suite was clean & had everything we needed. Check in was smooth and simple. The multiple freight trains going past were long & loud, but that added to the uniqueness of the location/experience. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect Location

Park your car in the provided spot and walk everywhere. This apartment was exactly as advertised. Great communication from host. If you love trains, this is the place for you - the front porch overlooks the train station. As mentioned in listing, the trains are loud but a unique touch in this historic town inn.

The 1799 Inn offers clean, comfortable accommodations in an unbeatable location. All the amazing sights and experiences of Harpers Ferry that attract visitors from around the world, are just outside your door.

The building includes four private apartments. This 1st-floor apartment features a spacious combined living area, dining area, and kitchenette, as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom. Relax on the large front veranda with seating and table. The veranda is shared with other guests
