Take a step into peace and tranquility in this gracious historical property. The 6 acre estate offers a woodland chapel, a small white playhouse, garden cottage red barn and serendipitous paths to roam.
This architectural gem has a great room with a 9 foot fireplace. great for gathering with comfy sofas and a grand piano, and large TV. Immerse yourself in a book in the second drawing room with an 18th century Belgian oak hand carved fireplace, wing back chairs and an overstuffed sectional sofa.
Family can gather in the spacious gourmet kitchen featuring 6 burner Dacor gas stove, double ovens and chefs sink. There is a second dishwasher in the utility area, as well as a washer and dryer. A large group can sit to share a meal in the dining room around the reclaimed French oak farmhouse table, or enjoy the breakfast nook with loveseat sofa. There is also access from both the main drawing room and the dining room to a spacious screened in porch overlooking the grounds. which makes for lovely connected indoor outdoor entertaining in fine weather.
The master bedroom suite includes a king bed, frame tv and bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower.
Second floor boasts a second master with access to the gallery porch overlooking the property, complete with a bench to relax and reflect; also its own ensuite bathroom.
Two additional bedrooms upstairs share the third full. bathroom. A large room with a king bed and third upstairs bedroom boasts a daybed, ( twin or converts to king) both with views over the red gathering barn, main lawn and farm gazebos.

BY SEPARATE ARRANGEMENT Outside there is a refurbished 20 by 40 red barn with hand hewn beams. and fold back French doors opening to a 20 by 40 balcony overlooking the pond areas.. This is an ideal space ideal for smallish gatherings of 40- 50 people . Please advise if you need this space as it requires preparation and has additional provisions. Use of barn and barn deck is not included in the house rental fee. Events are considered on a case by case basis.

Perfect place for a college reunion. Separate bedrooms for 6/7 is relatively rare but exactly what our group needed. Comfortable rooms in which to eat, play cards or just hang out. Lovely location close enough to AA to easily get there and far away enough to enjoy privacy. Very responsive owner. Highly recommend!

Great house for a big family!

We had our extended family of 10 (ages 13-50) stay at the house for a weekend while we celebrated the life of my brother-in-law and attended a Michigan game. Location was great (quiet, but only 15 minutes from campus) and the house was very comfortable for a group our size!

Splendor

Our group of 8 convened here to celebrate our graduate during her Spring Commencement 2025. We relished the splendor of this home and the property surrounding it. Peace and tranquility being here, yet within 15 minutes of the Ann Arbor festivities.The separate families within our group had their own rooms and bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped for our guests to chef it up for a celebratory dinner in the spacious, yet intimate dining room. Smooth communication with the host, who was very accommodating and considerate. This rental will not disappoint. Hope to be back here again.

A Wonderful Home for a Family Get Together

This home is great for family get-togethers. We were with our three daughters and their families for a Thanksgiving weekend. All the adults had their own bedroom, and each family had a bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and easy to use. The large dining room accommodated all of us, and the living room was perfect for watching football games. Our host was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. When we had a question for our host, they replied very quickly. I could tell they wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this home for your next get-together.
