WE ARE BACK AFTER HURRICANE IAN REPAIRS-AND BETTER THAN BEFORE!!!!
Our completely renovated, ground level, open floor plan home is 6 houses from our private beach access. The beach is on the West end of Sanibel, which is much less populated and more secluded. It is almost like having your own private beach! This privacy is rare on Sanibel. A new resurfaced high end pebble surface with glass beads heated screened pool. The home sits only one block from one of the major bicycle paths (2 adult bikes provided) and is directly across the street from miles of conservation land. This home is GROUND LEVEL-no stairs to climb to get a cold drink, snack or sun block from inside. The home has been totally renovated and professionally decorated with high end tile throughout.

Our entire living area, sunroom, dining room, kitchen and living room, has an open floor plan that allows everyone to be involved in the conversation. The large sunroom has 2 desks for work (if you have to) or puzzles and crafts and opens out to the pool. The attractive coastal furniture is a great place to read a book or enjoy the tropical views. The backyard has beautiful artificial turf.

The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, shaker soft white cabinets, and granite counters with breakfast bar. An outside Weber gas grill is available for all your BBQ needs.

The living room has comfortable seating with a Sony 65" Class - X90CK Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV to view your favorite TV shows and movies. To stay connected, we have equipped the home with WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNET for your convenience and use.

The three bedrooms have top quality mattresses and linens with wall mounted televisions. The spacious master bedroom suite includes a king size bed and a Sony 65" Class - X90CK Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV, high definition TV. This allows guests with Netflix, Hulu, etc. accounts to watch their favorite shows. We also provide Roku devices on each tv. Sliding glass doors provide direct access to the pool with a beautiful tropical view. The en suite bath has a walk-in shower with rare silver travertine tile throughout. A large shower head and designer 48" vanity and faucet complete the package. The guest room has a queen size bed with a 55" 4K UHD QLED, Smart, high definition TV. The third bedroom has plenty of room to occupy two twin beds with a 32" flat screen, high definition TV. The guest bathroom is all new, in coastal design with beautiful Italian tile.

Brand new LG full size washer and dryer with utility sink are available for your laundry needs. Keep your car cool in the 1 and a 1/2 car garage with plenty of storage.
We provide everything you need for the beach: beach cart, chairs, towels, cooler, floats, and sand toys. We do not provide beach umbrellas, but Jerry''s has them. For a rainy day: cards, board games, and books.

Sanibel Island is known to have the best shelling in North America. Sanibel remains unique in it's commitment to preserving the natural environment. Two thirds of Sanibel (6500 acres) is part of a wildlife refuge with miles of waterways and lush tropical plants and exotic wildlife. Sanibel has no traffic lights and building height is strictly limited, with few franchises. You will find unique shops and restaurants with top notch gourmet options to crunchy shrimp baskets that are sure to please everyones palate.

We enjoyed our stay on Rabbit Rd. The house was very clean and fresh, plus homey and comfortable. Location was great for either walking to the beach or biking to Ding Darling and beyond. The pool was as warm as a bathtub and we used it everyday. Nice bikes are included. Kitchen is well stocked. Pretty much perfect for a month's stay. An added plus was a mother and baby alligator living in the water filled ditch across the street!

Incredible stay!

My mom, sister & I came to Sanibel to celebrate our mom’s 65th birthday. This was the absolute perfect house to stay in, and the location couldn’t have been better. We walked to the beach every day which was a short 10 minute walk. The house is beautifully decorated and so cozy, and the beds were SO comfortable which is a huge plus when renting somewhere. The house has everything you need for your stay, and we even cooked in one night and the kitchen was very well stocked. We all kept saying how we have to stay at this house again whenever we come back to Sanibel, we loved it so much. It was such an amazing trip and the house just made it feel like we had our own beach home while we were there. We already can’t wait to come back!!!

The host and house were both great! The house was spotless, and had everything you would need to enjoy your vacation. (Cooking utensils, grill, bikes, chairs) The heated pool was clean and felt great. The host also was great with communication. I did a last minute booking the night before i stayed. She patiently helped me complete my booking. I would recommend this property to anyone staying on sanibel island. I hope i can return again!

Perfect stay

I loved my time at Dawn and Frank’s home on Rabbit Road. The beautiful landscaping front and back felt like my own oasis. The pool lent itself to fun gatherings, especially for the kids and me. I appreciate the partially shaded fenced-in backyard. It is lovely! There were plenty of kitchen gadgets, towels, seating and bedding. I loved the use of bikes since I’d rather bike everywhere versus drive. The hosts thought of every need possible. Even the outside shower came in handy. The beach was a five to ten minute walk for us. I enjoyed being in a residential area with the shops and restaurants a short jaunt away. It was the perfect experience in Sanibel.

Wonderful month in Sanibel

This is a terrific home for a month long stay. The layout is nice, plenty of space, fenced in back yard. The house is nicely furnished and well supplied for our vacation. We cycle, so it was close to the bike trails and less than a mile to Ding Darling. Perfect!

A simple oasis

This home, clearly cared for, well equipped and sparkling clean, is located in a great location on Sanibel. We rented electric bikes (the bikes provided are usable) and zoomed all over the place. The second and third bedrooms are not big and their bathroom is in the general hallway so we are glad our friends (who are not close friends!) did not come after all. The large kitchen is well equipped. Thank you Dawn!

Lovely home with gorgeous screened pool, tropical landscaping, elaborately stocked kitchen, every amenity you could imagine!(bikes with locks/helmets, beach cart with chairs, sand and water toys, great washer/dryer, 2nd refrigerator, printer with paper/ink, many beach towels) Enjoyable short walk to uncrowded beach, fun shelling, gorgeous sunsets! A great vacation!!

Good stay in June

The place is nicely decorated, the owner is very responsive, the fenced dog yard is a big plus, the perfect-temperature pool is shaded much of the time by towering palms and the kitchen is super-modern. It is a bit of a schlep to walk to the beautiful mostly deserted beach for us older folk and I would have liked to have a card table or desk to work on, but for folks wanting a quiet, pretty house away from the more touristed area, we and our dogs highly recommend this.

Like a Homecoming

We stayed at SeaTulip during April and May 2017 and returned for April and May 2018. From the minute we entered the house, we felt like we had returned home. Our two Frenchies 'said' when we walked in ... "hey, we know this place!" and headed for the pool area. Frank and Dawn upgraded some of the electronics and appliances since our last stay, which was of course appreciated. But the overall feelings were of a high level of emotional and physical comfort. Any questions we had that were addressed to Dawn were addressed immediately. We went to the Tesoro restaurant for dinner for the first time, and will return for sure whenever we are on Sanibel - it was fabulous. The Sunday market is another weekly event we try not to miss. SO close to beach + tranquil private pool!

The house is just a quick, scenic stroll to the private beach! We had the beach to ourselves as far as the eye could see, but the kids enjoyed walking down the beach to have lunch at West Wind Inn and meet other youngsters (while we still got our peace and quiet)! We spent every afternoon in the private, screened in pool! Perfect spot to cool off and take in the natural Sanibel vegetation. The whole house looks straight out of Better Home and Gardens - completely renovated, clean and homey! The beds were SO comfortable and we loved having a fully equipped kitchen to make meals when we weren't at our favorite restaurants. Will definitely be back!

Amazing vacation

We had an amazing month in Sanibel! This lovely home is located on the quiet rabbit road. The house is a short walk to the beach, and the beach wagon in the garage made it easy for us to haul our coolers and chairs. The house has a secluded pool, great for cooling off in the afternoons. The patio furniture was new, high end, and extremely comfortable. I had no problem laying outside for hours reading my books. Inside, the house was equipped with modern appliances and electronics. The kitchen was fully stocked and suited all our cooking needs. All the beds and furniture were exceptionally comfortable. We highly recommend staying here!

We'll be back

May 31, 2017 We have been coming to Sanibel for a number of years now, but decided to bring our dogs this year, and rented this property for the first time, for April and May. We found the house to be exactly as advertised, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture and beds thoughout. We spent many hours at the pool every day and found the privacy and tranquility at the back of the property to be ideal. We also gave the grill a good workout most days. Dawn was very responsive when we contacted her for assistance a couple of times. The proximity to the beach was a bonus, allowing easy access for frequent long beach walks, shelling and close encounters with interesting sea dwellers (dolphins, rays). Occasionally we went out for meals, our favorite dinner location is The Sand Bar just up West Gulf a short distance. We also enjoyed Timbers, Island Cow and Matzaluna. Close to lovely quiet beach

We spent the month of January in this home and loved the location. The heated pool is a big bonus and we enjoyed taking a dip almost everyday. The beds are so comfortable and bathrooms are nicely updated. We used beach chairs, carts, beach towels and bikes almost everyday. The only slight disappointment was the furniture out by the pool. There was only one lounge chair and the other chairs were not that comfortable for relaxing.

Throughout our travels, we fell in love with Sanibel. Along with the best beaches in the world, Sanibel has wonderful weather, a relaxed atmosphere with great restaurants and shopping.There is not a better place to vaction and relax. We one day plan to retire to this beautiful place.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location! We are 6 houses to private beach access. Our heated screened pool has beautiful Wetedge pebble and glass finish. The water is a beautiful Caribbean blue and the pebble finish just sparkles. Many of the homes on Sanibel are not ground level. We love the convienence of not climbing stairs everytime we need something in the house or to just go out to the pool. We are located in the middle of the island, close to Captiva and Sanibel's attractions. We have equipped our house as we would for ourselves. Come and make yourself at home.
