Log Cabin on the river w/Hot Tub and Fenced Dog Run
Boone and surrounding towns are open to tourists again!
Discover a romantic getaway at our pet-friendly, riverfront log cabin on the New River, near Boone NC, with breathtaking mountain views and App State nearby. Our family and dog-friendly cabin features a hot tub, outdoor dining, and firepit for cozy nights. The fenced side yard allows your dogs to run off leash. Embrace adventure with riverfront access for kayaking, fishing, and tubing. Current Hideaway the perfect escape in the heart of the NC mountains.
We are nestled in the valley along the New River in Todd, NC. Enjoy kayaking, tubing, fishing, paddleboarding, or canoeing right out the front door by using some provided equipment (kayaks, fishing poles, tubes) or by visiting Wahoo Adventures right across the river. We are 15 minutes to Boone and less than 30 minutes to Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. You will find great breweries and restaurants in nearby towns. With just a short drive you can access all the adventures the mountains have to offer including skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, scenic overlooks, etc.
There is a driveway in the back you can access from the neighborhood directly behind the cabin with ample parking. You can also park in the front driveway but it is a bit steep, there is a limited turn around at the top. During winter months, AWD or 4WD may be required.
The river is located across the road. Most of the traffic is from local tubing/kayaking companies. There are several outfitters located along the river and at times the river can get busy with tubers and kayakers. You may enjoy sitting on the back porch or on the bench along the river watching people go by. The river is typically quiet by 6pm on those busy days.
