Located in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain. Renters have access to the outdoor community pool during the summer months as well as hiking trails, clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, campground, fishing, paddle boating, and more. The house is a great getaway, located just a few hours from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh. The home is furnished with a good supply of kitchen amenities and of course all linens are provided. NOW INCLUDING A HOT TUB!!! There is a wood burning fireplace. Please bring your own firewood. Master on main with king bed. The second master on main with Queen. Second floor bedroom has 2 sets of full size bunk beds and its own full bathroom. Every detail has been caringly looked after from personal soaps to the decor to plush linens for each and every guest to have a true vacation experience. The house has Skybest unlimited fiber optic internet! It also offers Direct TV. Cell phone signal is spotty but wifi calling is available. (check the settings on your phone) This house is the absolute getaway.PETS are $50 PER PET and charged separately after your initial booking. Please make note of any pets when you book. Just minutes to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, High County festivals, Fly Fishing, Blue Ridge Mountains, Appalachian Trail,Wineries, Breweries, App State Football! Shopping and local restaurants galore! Pack and Play, high chair, in main floor master closet. Specialty trash bags provided. One roll TP per bathroom please provide any additional. All linens provided and one roll of paper towels. There are covers for both couches for furry friends please use them! fully equipped kitchen. Pots pans, strainers, measuring tools, knives, cutting boards. Board games are in main floor master closet we ask for adult supervision so we don't loose little pieces if we can help it. All TV's are smart TV's you can log into your netflix or hulu account. There is a wifi extender upstairs on wall next to closet door.

- A signed rental agreement is required to fully confirm this booking.
- ALL Trash must be bagged in large kitchen bags, including pup pick up bags. $25 fee per bag if it doesn't fit in the provided outside trash container. We do NOT recycle but there is a recycle center nearby off Jakes Mountain Road.

Beautifully secluded & scenic

This is a beautiful home away from home. We loved the comfortable beds and treat basket for s’mores; perfect interior layout, exterior was a small challenge with little ones or non 4x4 vehicles.

The owners thought of everything!! The house was amazing,!! kid friendly and the deer coming up to the house was the icing on the cake for the kuds!! Definitely will stay here again!!

Mountain stay

The cabin was nice, clean. The kids loved the bunk beds. Peaceful and quiet. Loved all the wildlife. So many activities available that the management even gave us. Just sad we had to leave a little early due to weather but definitely want to come back during nicer weather

Family Christmas Trip

We planned this trip to take our 2 grandchildren to Tweetsie for the Christmas Train Ride. Your house was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very well equipped for our needs. Thank you for your hospitality.

Clean, well designed home in the woods

Great place, very clean, great hot tub, the community swimming pool is in a beautiful setting and very special. Nice grill and well outfitted kitchen. Would like to return!

Perfect relaxing getaway

We loved playing in the creek, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, soaking in the hot tub, s’mores by the campfire, seeing deer and turkeys, and most of all—being together. This home/community was perfect! Highly recommend.

We couldn't have asked for more!

The pictures were accurate, the property was immaculate, and it was better than we could have imagined! The owner thought of every little detail down to local handmade soaps, adorable welcome baskets for us and our dog, and the comfiest beds and bedding we've ever had in a rental! The entire property was welcoming and well thought-out; we will absolutely be returning! Thank you for a memorable experience!

The cabin was very nice. Would recommend some non slip on the outside steps. Very steep and I did take a very nasty fall.

Great get away!

Perfect cabin for a quick weekend getaway! We had fun. It is about 20-30min drive to Boone/Blowing Rock. The only thing is the driveway is a steep slightly curved gravel road that you MUST back into. It will help to have a vehicle with a good back up camera and back up lights for the dark nights, take a flashlight to have a passenger light the way if needed.

Beautiful Clean Cabin

This was an amazing 2 night get away from the hussle and bustle. The cabin was very clean, had an adorable welcome package even for our pups, and most importantly was very comfortable. They had some fun outdoor games. The community is one of our favorites and we will be back. The absolute only need for this property was a better maintained hot tub. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Relaxing Get away

This cabin has everything you could ever ask for in a rental. The cabin was so beautifully decorated for Christmas as we stayed Dec 20-23. Tons of “little touches” that made the cabin so special! The makings for s’mores, hot chocolate and the supplies to make Christmas ornaments. The cabin was well stocked with assorted teas, zip Lock bags, foil, spices, etc. I cannot say enough about how cozy the cabin was and how much we enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful cabin, relaxing stay

This cabin, once we got to it, was stunning. The layout, the rooms, the amenities & little touches...all A+. Plenty of room for everyone without feeling like we were on top of each other. We really appreciated the little details as well. The road to get there was a bit intimidating and you may or may not keep a signal. We were a little bummed by the weather because it rained almost the whole time and the only issue was that it caused the internet and tv to drop out. Other than that, we had a restful time and even were visited by some adorable forest friends.

Great Place

We stayed here for a long weekend with 2 teens and our dog. The details and tips were very accurate and helped us have a great trip, including picking up groceries on the way in. The property and neighborhood are beautiful and you can tell special attention was put into details to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable, even for our dog. We took advantage of the tennis courts, the Sunday chapel service and the hiking trails in the neighborhood and saw deer several evenings going down to the pond that you can see from the property. The owners have done the research for you and provided suggested activities and restaurants that are a short drive away. It really is a great place to relax and we would definitely book again.

Nice place!

Overall the place was very nice and clean. House is in a very quiet neighborhood and is very private. BEWARE that the house advertises that you can have a nice fire outside based on the listings pictures and the description. But the guest rules in the house say only the owner is allowed to have fires outside and guests are prohibited. A little deceiving if you ask me.

Easy to get lost

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My experience was that the assistant was available to us at all times, and she also communicated via regular text messages, which was a huge help.The hot tub wasn't clean, but it was ready for us the next day. To be honest, I wouldn't go back to that area. All the amenities weren't that great; some were closed and others were too far away. I did like the hiking and the horses. The prices are good.It's easy to get lost in those mountains, especially because of the sign.
