Fabulous location!!!

  • 5 of 5

A "girls" get together.........three of us met for our annual visit to Niagara on the Lake & spent 5 wonderful days at the Old Blacksmith's Cottage.

What a fabulous find. The Festival Theatre is two blocks away at the end of our street. The main drag - shopping, restaurants, ice cream - is a block away. The cottage has a designated off road parking spot right at the back gate to the property. We were able to park and walk pretty much everywhere.

The cottage is adorable! It has original old wood floors, three bedrooms with really comfy beds, an updated kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom has an old claw footed tub and a separate shower. There is a lovely patio out back with a gas BBQ & table & chairs.

There are lots of windows so the cottage is full of light.

All in all, this is a very well equipped cottage - washer, dryer; dishwasher; hairdryer.........

We are already looking forward to a return visit!

Centrally located, well equipped and clean.

We stayed here for two nights with our two grandchildren (ages 15 & 10). The cottage has everything one would need and is well maintained. Liaison with the owner and the local manager was friendly and straightforward. We would certainly stay again should the occasion arise.

The perfect location for visiting NOTL.

  • 5 of 5

Four of us stayed at the cottage for three nights. The property is one block from Niagara on the Lake's main street and in easy walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants and several theatres. There is one well appointed, modern bathroom and the kitchen has also been recently redone. It was fully equipped and you could easily cook dinners - although given our short stay we did not. There is also a patio and a gas barbeque. I will certainly try to book the cottage on my next trip to NOTL.

Luxury 1835

  • 5 of 5

5 sisters stayed in this lovely cottage for 3 nights. It was all we could ask for and more. The cottage was very clean and well cared for, and décor lovely. Plenty of space in the kitchen (which included dining area), and also in the sitting room. Inviting patio as well. Had a carriage ride, and a lovely picnic by the lake. Lots of lovely shops, close by, as well as theatres. So much within walking distance. I highly recommend this unique cottage.

Fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

Location, location, location! My husband and I came with my mother-in-law for the week. Such a convenient location to the falls yet not in the touristy area. So close to the falls that we could go early in the morning, then back for lunch/nap and head back to the falls in late afternoon. This gave us time to enjoy everything Niagara Falls had to offer without over doing it. We bought the Adventure Plus pass and parked and rode the WeGo. Parking is free at the Aero Car.

The place is roomy and quaint. We loved having a kitchen and cooked most meals. We also saw a play at the Shaw and would highly recommend. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a very quaint town and we enjoyed exploring. Everything is close by.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Really Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a great place to stay while in the Niagara region, look no further. This cottage has everything you would need and more. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, well furnished, and immaculately cared for. Our family of four (two adults, a 15, & 10 year old) loved it. A very short walk to all that Niagara on the Lake has to offer and a pleasant drive into Niagara Falls.

As for touring activities, we highly recommend the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass. We purchased the plus pass, which saved us quite a bit of money and we enjoyed every activity it covered. We also rented bikes for a day and enjoyed the trail along the river, Fort George, and a local vineyard. Our teenager loved to walk the town on his own, get ice cream, and explore (as did we). After a day of sight seeing, we looked forward to getting back to a more quiet and peaceful setting and ended each day with a walk to the little beach in town for skipping stones, watching the water, and grabbing dessert.

The owners of the cottage are very responsive and everything was as advertised.

Our children are already asking when we will be coming back, which tells me all I need to know about the success of this trip. It was one we will never forget and the cottage was a big part of that.
