If cookie cutter neighborhoods and homes are not for you, you're in luck.

The neighborhood:
The historic Montgomery district of Savannah is a community comprised of diverse backgrounds.
It's filled with character, wherein the working class and wealthy coincide. Unlike HOA communities, which are rigidly conformed, your neighborhood's community experiences more freedom in its ability to live, landscape, park, and live however it desires.
Unlike the majority of Savannah, according to mapping resources, the neighborhood is one of Savannah's safest areas. Although some surrounding homes may appear unmaintained, your safety is more maintained here than in the majority of Savannah's areas.

The home:
Just as the neighborhood exudes a historic and diverse atmosphere, the home's authentic 1979 brick build and original windows provide a humble and down-to-Earth experience. Original bathrooms host an experience not of modern and luxurious appeal, but cozy charm. Overall, the area exudes more of a peaceful country ambience as opposed to urban convenience. Its close proximity to Skidaway's islandic life is accentuated with Spanish moss lined roadways accompanied by the Vernon and Moon rivers' faint marshy aroma.

Disclaimer:
1) Artwork showcased in the photographs is for sale! Pricing and more is posted on the dining room's gallery style walls. The featured artwork is original, so when it is sold, new and exciting works are to replace them. This listing's current photographs may not accurately reflect the current artwork showcased in the space. If the vacationers staying prior to your check-in decide to purchase one of her works, I cannot guarantee that I'll have fresh artwork in right away. However, I'll do my absolute best to provide fresh pieces to replace sold works as soon as I possibly can.

Long length of stays are welcomed and encouraged! A rental agreement will need to be signed for stays over 30 days.

Note: the duplex's adjacent unit, Unit B, may be occupied by the property owner or other short term rental guests during your stay. Your unit is completely private and separate; the only shared space is the yard access. All I ask is that you maintain a respectful noise level for your friendly neighbors.

This vacation rental is certified through Chatham County's Building and Regulatory Department of Savannah, Georgia. Its permit code is STR2324223.

Short, but sweet
We only stayed 2 nights, but the house was clean and comfortable. My husband remarked on how organized everything was. We had no issues, and the host was prompt in his responses. The coffee bar was a nice touch. The house is 1/2 of a duplex, but we never saw or heard the people next door. Nice and quiet.

Savannah Birthday Weekend
Our large group with 4 adults and 3 children were very comfortable and enjoyed the spaciousness and layout of the property. The art theme was a bonus and added a refreshing appeal to our stay. Logan was amazing the entire stay, always available to answer any questions we had and extremely helpful and friendly.

Host profile image
A native Michigander, I grew up an hour north of Detroit. There, I attended Croswell-Lexington High School. It was quite the rural education. Yes, I encountered traffic jams involving cows crossing the road instead of heavy traffic. Here, I held a passion for studying pretty much everything. Eventually, this dedication lead to me graduating at the top of my class. When I wasn't scrunching for my next exam, you would probably find me at the bowling alley preparing for another tournament. If I wasn't there, you could find me behind an easel in art class. I like painting way too much, and my clothes show it (I swear I don't know where all of these paint stains come from!)
To continue my passion for the creative arts, I travelled to Georgia to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I ended up falling in love with the area, and just couldn't move back home! So, I decided to make down south living my permanent residence.
I'm a believer that if you're a creative individual, you will always find a way to release your expressiveness. Well, I release my love for art through furnishing and designing short term rentals. Whether it's painting cabinets, revamping furniture, or deciding upon a layout for the living room, I get jazzed up by this industry. I love providing hospitality, meeting new people, and transforming spaces into works of art. With this being said, I will do everything in my power to make your stays as pleasurable as possible. I hope that you are as excited to be my guest as I am to be your host!

Why they chose this property

This duplex holds a special place in my heart. It was my first home in the gorgeous city of Savannah.

The first time I visited Savannah, I knew I had to find a way back. Between its charming Spanish moss-draped trees, welcoming weather, and affluent history, I just had to move here from Michigan. I want to provide an opportunity for travelers such as yourself to experience this richly unique city. If you want to experience the city's happenings but would rather reside in a secluded area, this place is just for you.
Its location aligns perfectly with my interests. It is situated fifteen minutes from downtown Savannah, and is five minutes from a good amount of practical amenities you will ever need. Its close proximity to gorgeous marshes, Skidaway Island State Park, the historic Wormsloe district, and the Moon River shines through. As a nature-lover, it was important for me to own a property outside of Savannah's city limits. This way, family bon-fires and s'mores nights can be enjoyed. In addition, the quiet suburban environment makes embracing these amusements possible.

What makes this property unique

Even before I pulled into the driveway of this duplex, I knew it was a winner. Its connecting street is filled with winding live oak trees and lush Spanish moss. These pieces of nature connect with the morning sunlight to create a dazzle of light rays across the street. This is a breathtaking sight in itself, no matter where you're headed. Driving to the house, you can practically smell the Moon River. I have personally rode my bike over to Skidaway Island State Park to experience its miles of winding bike trails. Living just a couple miles from the island makes this possible. Enjoy the country's peacefulness while just being a skip away from the city's lavish history!
