The house was really nice with great views of the river! Jennifer was super nice and attentive with our needs as well as offering local recommendations for food and activities. Not to mention it’s a very short drive to everything you would need in Shreveport, yet feel really secluded away from people. Would definitely stay here again!
We came to Shreveport for a wedding and had the pleasure of staying in this Lodge. The decor and style of the home makes you feel like you are staying in the mountains, while the porch and river scenery make you feel like you’re in the bayou. It was great stay! Complete with a full kitchen, 2 full baths, 2 queen beds and 3 cots, this was a great place for my group of 8 to stay. We would recommend this to anyone traveling to the Shreveport area!
We had a great time in the beautiful cabin home. The river and scenery was exactly the peace I needed to relax and reflect on how much we have to be grateful for in our lives. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

Weekend Stay
The interior of the property was nice. They were in the middle of an exterior remodel so there was some expected eye sores with that. There were some cosmetic issues like the front door sticking and being difficult to lock, and the upstairs bathroom door not being installed properly. The washer and dryer need to be replaced. The neighborhood is not the best. There are some updates that need to happen, but overall the property is a good place to stay.

Response from VrboOwner on Jul 24, 2023
Hi Alexis- our listing does state that we are rebuilding the deck which is why the amazing river lodge is listed at a discounted rate- the door issues have not been reported to me and had I been notified of any issues during your stay, I would have gotten my handyman there to fix them right away, we did get the washer and dryer repaired- the neighborhood is a short- dead end street on the river, which waterfront property typically has a variety of large and small houses, on one side of us is a $700,000.00 house, & the other side is a manufactured home. It’s a very quiet, safe area. When renting a vacation rental, to be fair, please always let the hosts know of any issues during your stay so they can be fixed, instead of in the review. I was in constant contact trying to make sure things were all good with no response. Anything less than 4 stars is considered a negative review and we weren’t given the chance to make things right. We have 500 - 5 star reviews with our Emerald Isle Properties and we strive for that with every property. This is a new listing for us and some kinks are to be expected.
I chose this waterfront property on short notice due to a concert we were attending in the area. The cabin is a short distance from most places you want go get to locally, which was a bonus. The waterfront views are nice with a large screen in porch and a bar and deck outside. The inside is nice and there are two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. You'll find that there is a dishwasher, utensils, everything you need to cook and stay comfortable while you are there. The bathrooms are also really nice and the big shower downstairs was definitely a bonus. We didn't stay in the cabin much as there was so much to do and see in the area. This place is great for a short stay, but I do wish we could have stayed a little longer. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay locally with a short drive to local businesses! The property owner was very good with communication and checked in during our stay, but we didn't need anything. Thank you!
