Very nice place. Comfortable with a walkable location. Host highly responsive to all questions. Bedroom was a bit warm even after getting tips from host on how to cool it down. I sleep cool, but still, a very minor thing. There are 32 steps you have to go up to enter the loft. You should be in good health and willing to do the 3-floor walk-up with luggage. Listing could be more specific on this point. It says “loft”, but gives no more detail.

Perfect spot for my solo fall writing and walking retreat. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet, and well equipped. I explored most of Gloucester on foot, and walked to ‘T’ to go further afield. Would definitely return!

We loved staying here with our 8 year old! The rooms were bright and clean, the furniture was comfortable and modern. Jo Ann was very responsive to my questions ahead of our stay. It’s in a great location: just a few minutes walk to the stretch of shops and restaurants in downtown Gloucester.

We stayed over the Thanksgiving week. Great location if you're looking to get away from the city and be near the water (it really is just a 2m walk away). All the conveniences to help make a longer stay comfortable - central air, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen. Only suggestion is to add shades / curtains on all the windows/doors downstairs. No concerns about safety or the neighborhood but we felt a bit exposed at night. Note this house has a lot of stairs (some are steep) and little steps scattered throughout. We got used to it but worth noting. We visit Boston regularly to see family and would definitely return to this property. It's a gem!
