This 3 level newly renovated chalet has 6 bedrooms plus loft and 4 full bathrooms with 2 bedrooms in each level, 2 king beds(Tempur-Pedic mattress in master bedroom) , 1 queen bed, 3 double beds, 1 bunk bed and 1 futon on the loft, comfortably sleeps 12. The Home has fireplace, Pool table, Foosball, 4 color TV's (56 inch HDTV in the family room), cable, DVD players, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, ceiling fans, AC units in the living room and 4 upstairs bedrooms, deck and screen porch with furniture, gas grill, private sandy beach area and canoe.

The communication with the owners was excellent throughout the process from everything leading up to check-in and check-out was very organized and easy to follow. However, the house itself is definitely in need of updating, and some improvements would make the overall stay much more enjoyable.

Had an amazing stay at the Big Bass Lake house! The location was perfect—right on the water with beautiful views. The open concept on the second floor was ideal for our group of 12 adults, giving us plenty of space to relax and socialize. We loved the large deck for outdoor dining, the gas grill for cooking, and the canoes we could take out on the lake. The beach area with the fire pit was a big hit. Also, the game room provided lots of fun. There was also more than enough parking for our whole group. Communication with the host was excellent throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing getaway!

Stayed here with some friends for Labor Day weekend. The place was clean, the gated community was quiet, felt safe, and family friendly. To access the community beach and amenities, you would need to purchase wristbands for each person at the community center, which we opted not to. That being said, the house has its own private dock and lake access which was very nice. The two canoes, life vests, and oars were great to use. The fireplace kept us warm at night. The bed frames and mattresses were somewhat dated. The kitchen was adequately stocked. All in all great stay.

The lake and the area is very beautiful and perfect for paddle boarding, canoeing and kyacking. It is very shallow water so not really a lake for swimming.

We had a great time! The house fit our needs, it was well stocked and was big enough for all of us. The location was perfect, right on the lake. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions.

We had everything we needed.

The house was great for our family. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked. The kids loved kayaking and canoeing out to the island. We appreciated the mini splits. The pool and the beach were a plus. It was a fun week with our family.

Comfortable Clean Home

Our two families thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had plenty of room for our 8 member two families. Having two canoes there was convenient and the dock made it easy to launch and fish from. The only concern was the kitchen pots and pans were dirty and old.

Family Vacation

Overall our stay was good. When we arrived the one toilet’s handle was broken, the AC units were really dirty, and the downstairs shower doors were off the track. I contacted the owners and they had maintenance come fix the issues except for the AC. He needed time to take them apart. Surface area appeared clean, but there were areas that were very dirty. Normal places that get dirty in our own home, but you would expect very clean when renting a property for this amount of money. This property has a lot of potential if someone would give it a little attention. But overall we were pleased with our stay, the friendliness of the hosts and their quick responses with the things needing attention.

Family Memorial Day weekend trip

The property was as advertised, located steps from the lake, and the owners were wonderful to communicate with, always replying quickly to concerns. To be fair, the house could use a deep cleaning in the hard to reach areas and some minor functional updates. Overall, we had a great stay and there was more than enough room for our party of 12.

It wasn’t that big according to the picture on VRBO and also it was little old house and not so clean. The basement’s rooms and bathroom were little dirty it wasn’t clean and accurate. The Tv on the living room wasn’t working.

Regret booking the house

I am writing to provide feedback on my recent stay at 114 Big Bass Lake resort from Dec 26, 2025 to Dec 29, 2025. While I was initially excited about the property, I was unfortunately disappointed with several aspects of my stay. * **Cleanliness:** Upon arrival, I found the property to be less clean than expected. * **Odor:** There was an unpleasant odor throughout the house.* **Accuracy of Description:** The property description did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the house. * **Amenities:** There are no trash bags provided ** The water pressure in the property was extremely low.I believe these issues significantly impacted my enjoyment of the stay. I hope this feedback is helpful for future guests and for improving the overall guest experience at this property.

The hard surfaces were cleaned well by the house cleaner, but the house is in need of replacement carpet (or better, vinyl flooring) because it is old and dirty in all the upper bedrooms. There are also many minor things that need repair, like a hook to hold the gate open on the deck rather than a women’s shirt tied around, and a handle on the sliding door rather than a wood block. Great fun

Overall the property is exactly like described. It may need a little updating inside but it’s still a very comfortable place. Good walk down to the water but once you’re there it’s fantastic. We would stay again.

Very good time

The property was spacious enough for everyone. We enjoyed just doing things on and around the property. We all haven't been together in a very long time. Everyone was sad to leave and want to do this on a annual or semi allual basis. As in other revues I have read prior to the trip the property could stand to have some repairs. Other than that it was a good time I will not soon forget.

Wonderful property for family gathering

The property was very clean although is in need of some repair. The spacious house fit our family well with plenty of bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The view is spectacular from the dock as well as the back deck. There was sufficient amenities for all the ages of our group from the 1 year old to the 65 year old! We loved the canoes and used them multiple times daily. The waterfront was great for adult hanging around fire pit but not kid friendly as the water edge drops and is very rocky. The community beach and playground were a better option but it was not close enough to walk so we needed to pack up the car each day with kids for the short drive. The community Rec center was wonderful with picnic area, basketball, pickle ball, tennis courts and a snack bar. There was a splash pad and nice pool but there was guest fee that is not included with your rental. We loved this property and would definitely stay again. Rosanna was very pleasant to work with and responds very quickly to inquiries and needs.

Property needs care

We stayed here for our annual family vacation. We raised our kids camping in tents, we do not expect or require five star accommodations to have fun, but this property was by far the worst we have stayed in in our ten years of renting. The property has potential, it is a nice lot on the water, but it is not being properly maintained. I understand living near water means bugs (we live blocks from the Mississippi River) but the volume of webs/debris/dead bugs on the house was indicative of more than a few weeks of not keeping up. A few other things: - no working lights in the living room or staircase going up - patio screen door not working properly, not able to use in evening because it just let bugs in (same with screen room, huge holes in screens making it useless). - not able to open some windows - dirt/webs under furniture, as well as from ceiling and in bedroom corners - basement smells/feels damp even with dehumidifier going 24/7 - MBR AC unit filled with mold - kitchen needs a reset, most of the large frying pans were unusable due to flaking coating Additionally, I have never had to pay for linens before. I was told it's standard for the area but we have stayed coast to coast and never experienced such a thing. Not to mention the beach/pool/splash pad cannot be used unless you pay extra as well. The consensus was this was a good location if you wanted to sit, fish or paddle around the water. Not so great if you have littles who want to play in the sand/water.

Nice lake house, great location

We really enjoyed our stay and the accommodations for the 9 of us was good. We particularly enjoyed sitting out by the lake and canoe-ing. The living and dining area is open and comfortable. Some things are in need of updating. All dealings with the owner were very nice and professional. Overall, a great experience.

Plenty of room

House was nice with plenty of room for seven of us to spread out. We loved having dinner on the deck every night. Owner was easy to reach, everything worked as expected. Generally, a great place to stay.

Great place for families

We rented this house on the lake during 4th of July week. The house was as expected and perfect for our group of 10. We never felt crowded and our teenage grandson even had a room to himself. We are glad we stayed away from the lake community festivities on the 4th because they looked very crowded. We spent most of our time enjoying fishing on the lake (both from the dock and in the canoes that were provided). A plus was the outdoor community center. The pool was large and very clean and everyone enjoyed the splash park.
