COMMUNITY AMENITIES: 4 Seasonal outdoor swimming pools (Memorial Day-Labor Day)(pool passes can be purchased for maximum of 14 guests directly from community for $12 pp/day), all guests are welcome at the lakes, tennis/pickleball/basketball courts, shuffleboard, private lake beach, boating/kayaking/paddle boating (available May-August), playground
OUTDOOR LIVING: Deck w/ gas grill, Fire Pit with chairs
KITCHEN: Fully equipped w/ cooking basics, drip coffee maker, dishware/flatware, full knife set
GENERAL: Free WiFi, complimentary toiletries, linens/towels, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, electric thermostat in every room, washer and dryer.
PARKING: Driveway (driveway can fit max of 6 cars, no parking on the street )
Other things to note:
-Any prom /graduation group and/or 17-23 y.o required to take 3k insurance through VRBO
-For security, our property has outdoor-only cameras facing the front door and driveway. No cameras are located inside the home. - during the winter season driveway Is regularly cleaned and salt but since we are in the pocanoes snow and ice may be present

Overall our stay was okay. The host was responsive and helpful however the house is not as nice as the photos made it look. It’s old and not well maintained, all the kitchen stools were broken. A lot of the bed frames had issues, half the electric sockets in the house didn’t work, the large basement rooms with queen beds were freezing, the heat barely worked and the air conditioners in the windows let cold air into the room, and the toilet in the basement wobbled. It took us over an hour to get through the security check point, and we were not warned of the wait ahead of time. We made the best of our trip and the house overall was clean. We had clean sheets and towels on all the beds when we arrived.

My family and friends had a great time, created memories that will be cherished in our lifetime in this wonderful home. It is a very safe and secured place and close to all attractions if you want to do some outdoor activities. The owner responds very quickly to inquiries and questions. We will definitely come back to this place in the future.

Weekend Stay

Property perfectly accommodated a group of my friends for New Years weekend with a good sized game room, living room, and kitchen. Host was very attentive and responded quickly regarding inquiries when booking and with check in information! Definitely recommend!

Our stay in Tobyhanna was overall nice; however, I did experience several safety-related issues that I feel need to be addressed.The main concern was the ice on the steps and driveway. When we arrived on Friday, there was already ice present, which made it very difficult for me and my guests to unload our belongings from our cars. I notified the owner about the ice, and she informed me that there was salt in a red pail. I explained to her that this was the first place I checked before calling and that no salt was available. Expecting guests to salt the property themselves is unreasonable and unsafe.It snowed the following day, and it took approximately an hour for maintenance to arrive and put salt down. Unfortunately, it snowed again on Sunday, and no one came to shovel or apply salt. As a result, one of my guests slipped on Sunday morning due to the ice.Another serious concern was the stand-up shower in one of the bathrooms. The shower door opens inward instead of outward, which made it very difficult and unsafe to enter. I informed the host about this issue as well. Because of safety concerns and fear that the door could fall on someone, we chose not to use that shower. As a result, all 11 women had to share one shower, as we did not want to risk injury or be responsible for potential damage to the shower door.These issues significantly impacted our stay, particularly from a safety standpoint, and I felt it was important to document them.

Very spacious and great location. Could use a little TLC but nothing major. Host is great and very communicative. Check in was a pain as the line was very long but nothing can be done to avoid so not blaming host.
