Little Dipper is located near the historic courthouse in downtown Johnson City, as well as the childhood home of Lyndon Baines Johnson. This recently remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath, home is ideal for a couples get-away, or for those looking for easy access to the hill country and wine trail attractions. The property features a charming sitting area in the backyard with a fire table and chairs positioned under the Texas Starry Sky.

Quick Stay in Johnson City

This house is in a great location in Johnson City. I needed a place to stay while working on some property nearby. The house is very comfortable, good parking, good location, and you can walk to several shops and places to eat.

Everything you need!

Coffee shop and breakfast right across the street. Block away from shops, restaurants, LBJ's boyhood home.The house was great and also had everything that we needed!

Great weekend getaway

This little bungalow is located just one block from downtown. A few steps away from coffee shop and tacos. I love Johnson City and will definitely book again!

Great outdoor soace

The property was super easy to find. The host communicated quickly when we had questions. The outdoor space was well groomed and had comfortable adirondack chairs around a gas fire pit. It was a perfect space for hanging out after a day of wine and shopping.

Wonderful home!

My husband and I were delighted with this charming and well equipped home. We stayed in Johnson City for a family wedding. Glad the house had a hairdryer, iron, microwave etc. Easy walk to a great coffee shop next door. We visited several local wineries which was fun. The host was a great communicator. Highly recommend this very clean and adorable home.

Comfortable

Great place for my wife and 2 teenagers to spend a couple of days. We had everything we needed and host was great and nearby if needed. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well supplied. Rained too much for Cornhole, but I loved seeing the boards and bags there. Covered parking was a big plus. Thank you!

Clean, Attractive, Comfortable Bed, Great Location, Loved It!

Great little house in a fantastic location. Clean, well appointed, and located conveniently. We were pleasantly surprised by the reverse osmosis system in the kitchen. This was a huge bonus for us, as we usually purchase bottled water when we travel, but there was no need this time because the RO water is purer than the bottled water we buy. Also, the bed was very comfortable. So many rentals have cheap mattresses that are not comfortable to sleep on, but Little Dipper has a great one in the master (we did not use the other bedroom). We were able to walk across the street to the coffee shop and food trucks where we had great food for breakfast in the mornings. Our host was proactive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely return and stay here again. Can’t say enough good things about Little Dipper!

Lovely Little Dipper

The Little Dipper was the perfect house for me & my sister. We love Johnson City and this house was within walking distance of our favorite shops & restaurants. The owner was quick to respond when we had a question. We would stay here again!

Cozy Little House

The location was perfect for our son’s wedding in Hye. It was walking distance to “town”. It had everything we needed including a lovely backyard seating area. It was great to have a covered driveway considering we had a huge storm one night!

Convenience

This place is cute and convenient to everything downtown. You can walk to the coffee shop, pizza food truck (highly recommend), to the brewery, restaurants, etc. it’s clean and comfortable with outdoor sitting areas. We’ve stayed here twice and it’s been pleasant every time.

Relaxing Oasis

My friend and I stayed at Little Dipper for 2 nights as a side trip from Austin while visiting my son and his family. We spent the first day checking out some places in Driftwood and the second day in Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, and a winery on the way back to Johnson City. A great base for a hill country getaway. Very private rooms. Each of us had our own “wing” with separate bathrooms. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard on the patio in the evenings. I plan to stay here again when my husband comes with me next time.

Lovely home

Everything was as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The water pressure was great, beds comfy and it was very convenient to walking around town. I would absolutely recommend this cute home to anyone.

PERFECT LOCATION!

My best friend and I stayed here for our annual get-together and were able to walk to wherever we wanted to go in town. The place was lovely and the fact that we each had our own room and bathroom was the cherry on top. There is both a front yard and back yard outdoor space for just relaxing, which we took advantage of in the morning for breakfast and the evening with a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

Little Dipper delight

We stayed here with another couple for a getaway weekend trip to the hill country. The location was right inn Johnson City, very close to restaurants and walkable to a cute little coffee. The house was clean, well stocked and very cute. Both bedrooms were comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were perfect so we did not have to share. It was raining much of out trip so we did not get to enjoy the front porch chairs or firepit in backyard but they were a nice touch to the property. Highly recommend!

Just the perfect little nugget for our group!

My husband, adult daughter, grandson and myself visiting from Austin to celebrate daughter’s birthday. Wonderfully clean, nice sheets and towels, comfortable beds, and bedrooms nicely appointed. Really nice showers! Weather so nice we spent time in backyard and also sitting in front porch. So close to coffee shop and town for restaurants. Very cute town with interesting shops and a brewery. Would go back again!!!

Great Cottage and location!

We loved the house! Very nice, clean and CONVENIENT to Town Square for Johnson City Lights! The Property Manager is great to work with and gets back to you immediately. Had a wonderful time! Would definitely recommend to anyone going there.
