Stone's Throw is a cozy new cabin on a private road, just minutes to Seawall Beach, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Bass Harbor lighthouse. The cabin is three miles to the town center, where you can enjoy shopping and dining, and an easy twenty five minutes to Bar Harbor. The Island Explorer also picks up at the Seawall Motel, 1/2 mile from the cabin, if you would rather use the bus system to travel the island.
There is a covered porch on the front of the cabin, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and the neighborhood deer, and a large deck off the kitchen that gets sun most of the day.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, whether grilling on the deck, or packing lunch for the beach.
The bathroom has a large walk in shower with a rain shower head and endless hot water. Perfect after a full day of hiking.
The bedroom has a king bed and blackout curtains, so you will get a great night's sleep before starting out on a new day's adventure.
Everything you need for a perfect island vacation is right here at Stone's Throw.

Perfect cabin for a couple. Everything you could need was provided. Clean and very comfortable.Location was close to a couple of favorite hikes plus 2 of the best MDI lobster pounds are within a couple of miles. Seawall picnic area close by for fabulous water views . Can’t wait to return.

Stone throw was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay for the 4 days while we were in Maine. The place was exceptionally clean, quiet and had all the kitchen things you would need. Everything we did we were only 20/30 minutes from. I would definitely recommend this place for couples (2 people)as it is not very big. We had deer visit every morning and they seemed very used to humans so we could sit on the porch and they did not run away.

Convenient and quiet location.

The place was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, but who also appreciate being able to relax and get away from the crowds.

Anniversary get away

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our 3 day stay in Mt Desert. It was beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable and clean. Great location to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We loved every minute of our stay.

Great cabin

Very cute cabin in a nice quiet location. My husband and I stayed for a long weekend, and it was perfect for just us. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was cute (and very clean). We were within 5 to 40 minutes of the hikes we did each day. Appreciated having plenty of bath towels and a large kitchen countertop/bar. The bed was very comfy.
