Cozy mountain retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Situated in beautiful Tyro, Virginia at the base of dePriest mountain, Snug Point is conveniently located to popular venues including Wintergreen, Virginia breweries and wineries, the Appalachian trail and historic Pharsalia. Here at Snug Point, we offer the comforts of home whether it be a mountain getaway, a stop over from the trail, local workshops or weddings at Pharsalia.

The quaint, two story house is located on a narrow country road, just next door to Pharsalia, literally. Here you can enjoy a view of the mountains and spacious back deck over looking the forest and old horse barn. It is designed with comfort in mind with a small great room and fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor along with one full bath. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath downstairs with a basement laundry room. There is outdoor access from the downstairs.

This property is very secluded with quite a bit of yard space for you to enjoy. There is an old horse barn and shop on the property that are for the owners use only. There is spacious parking next to the pine farm. Here you can enjoy a plethora of Virginia wildlife.

One of the most special corners of Virginia

You couldn’t ask for a more beautifully situated property in the mountains. The hosts are very thoughtful and communicated well. The home was perfect for our fall stay in Nelson County. We will absolutely stay here again next time we visit Nelson and need a place to stay!

Wonderful retreat spot

Snug point is one of those rare properties that’s better in person than its online profile. The sheets are soft, towels fluffy, everything’s spotlessly clean, and fully stocked with all the little things that make vacation easy. It’s clear the host makes every effort to craft a welcoming space. Our group loved our weekend escape and plan to return again!

Absolutely the Best

Our stay was perfect. The whole home was warm and cozy with space for all 7 of us. Our host was absolutely the best from the first conversation before renting and all the way to the end. All the rooms were clean and neat. The beds were so comfortable. Our kids enjoyed playing some of the board games the host had there. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

We love this property because it is on 170 acres so you are very secluded but minutes away from great attractions. The home itself is very cozy with an awesome deck with stunning views.
