Bienvenido a nuestra cabaña en Massies Mill en la base de la montaña Priest en las montañas Blue Ridge. La casa está cerca de senderismo, Crabtree Falls, el río Tye, esquí, golf, bodegas y cervecerías. Hay huertos y granjas cerca, que es divertido visitar para recoger sus propias fresas, arándanos, moras, cerezas, manzanas, calabazas y duraznos, según lo permitan las estaciones. Nuestra acogedora cabaña se encuentra en 2 acres privados, listos para que disfrutes. Te sentirás como en casa en nuestra cabaña y te acomodarás para una noche de comodidad después de un día de actividades. Hay dos dormitorios en la planta baja, uno con una cama queen y el otro con una cama de día con cama nido. Arriba hay una suite; Un dormitorio con una cama queen, una sala de estar y baño. La cocina está completa, bien equipada y equipada para el chef de su grupo. La mesa de comedor tiene espacio para 6, con ajustes de lugar para 6. Hay televisión por satélite e internet.

Estamos cerca de cualquier actividad que desee encontrar. Estamos a 3 minutos del río Tye, a 10 minutos del sendero de los Apalaches y de la ruta de senderismo hasta The Priest, y a 15 minutos de las cataratas y praderas de Crabtree. Spy Rock, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Humpback Rocks, y mucho más, están un poco más arriba en Crabtree Falls Hwy. La cervecería más cercana es Devil's Backbone, a 15 minutos, con esquí de invierno, tubos, snowboard y otras actividades en la montaña desde allí. El recuento de cervecería es de 7 dentro de un disco fácil. Bodegas abundan en esta área, con al menos 23 abiertos para la degustación de vinos.

Si visitar otros pueblos y ciudades pintorescas está en su agenda, la cabaña está a solo 45 minutos de Charlottesville, Staunton o Lexington.

Hay rafting y tubos en el río James en 40 minutos.

Hay al menos 20 restaurantes para cenar en esta área, a menos de 30 minutos; Muchos son bastante buenos.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Karin and Brads cottage before wedding day to run errands, get license and finalize details. Small family gathering on last of a multi day stay and was able to cook dinner and breakfast with ease. Everything is available and instinctively placed to use. Cozy, quiet getaway

Nicely decorated, comfy and quiet. Butterfly gardens and humming birds. Nice pots and pans (not the wore out ones found in many rentals). Washer and dryer is a nice plus. All in all it is a very nice place to stay.

Get away before major surgery

Front Porch Mountain View

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed four nights in the lovely cottage in the mountains. It was roomy and the beds were very comfortable. My favorite thing was drinking coffee on the front porch with the lovely mountain view and listening to the birds singing. I made fresh nectar for the Hummingbird feeder and enjoyed watching them buzz about.

I am a wife, mother, and speech pathologist who loves to travel with family and friends. We live in Virginia near Richmond and travel to the mountains for hiking and enjoyment of nature on a regular basis. When not traveling in these mountains, we enjoy travel to the beaches, California and anywhere exciting.

We have taken weekend trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains over a hundred times with occasional longer trips. We've stayed at virtually every bed and breakfast in the area which lead us to getting our own place, making it quaint, cozy and cool so we and others can enjoy it. We learned a lot about what makes a place feel so inviting and charming and put what we learned into the Cottage at Massies Mill.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Relaxing on the front porch or the back deck is perfect. There's plenty of seating on the front porch to take in the mountain air, view the sites, and even have dinner there. The back deck is just as nice with a view of the countryside. You might notice the unusual and distinctive flooring and trim throughout the cottage; it came from the old Tye River Train Station that was nearby when the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway was in operation. Our cottage can sleep up to 6, but it's not too big just for two people; there's the upstairs suite (bedroom, sitting area and bathroom) as nice as a honeymoon suite. The kitchen is great for cooking with plenty of space, some scones mixes, other culinary supplies, and an island to give you that extra space for preparing a delicious meal. The cottage is nicely located with hiking to the left, dining, beer and wine to the right, and skiing and golf straight ahead.
