Home is owned by local artist who renovated this 1866 farm house while keeping the historic charm. Her love for the New Hope area is seen throughout the home. She decorated the home to be warm and inviting inside and out!
The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Six of us stayed here for a long wedding weekend (July 2016) and cannot recommend it highly enough. The house is lovely and comfortably appointed - fabulous gourmet kitchen - beautiful, private garden with fountains, very tranquil. Absolutely immaculate. The location is a short drive/walk from New Hope / Lambertville (less than a mile). This was an effortless stay for us, and Diana, our hostess, made us feel very welcome and well cared for. Note that there was a heatwave and the house was completely cool and comfortable. This area is lots of fun for antiquing, dining, exploring history, hiking, biking etc etc., and this house is a welcome place to return to at the end of a full day. Diana left lots of helpful information about the house, local restaurants, grocery stores, and left wine and desserts for us on our arrival. As others have noted, the house is antique and the stairs are steep so small children / those with mobility issues may have difficulties. We did not experience any problems. The kitchen and grille are top of the line and I wish we had more time to use them! Beds and linens are wonderful. We hope to return.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights last summer when we travelled from California to go to his class reunion. We had no idea as to what to expect, as we usually stay at hotels, and decided to try a VRBO house. We were beyond pleased when arrived at the property. The house was amazing-spacious, cozy, well decorated, and extremely clean. There was a bottle of wine and an apple pie waiting for us on the kitchen counter. Diana, the host, was friendly and adorable. She gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and activities. We did try a few of the restaurants, and were able to walk into town and not have to worry about driving after having a few drinks. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property. If we ever need to be in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay here!
My friends and I had a fabulous girl's weekend. The house was lovely and Diana is so sweet and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better host or home. Can't wait to come back.
My friends and I rented Diana's house for our fall girl's weekend and it was perfect! Diana is an amazing person and host and we all left feeling like we had made a new friend. Our group has been friends for most of our lives and this beautiful home served as a perfect backdrop for us to take time out of our busy lives and reconnect.
Upon arriving, we immediately set ourselves up in the gorgeous kitchen (straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie) and had wine and appetizers late into the night as we told stories, laughed and truly enjoyed ourselves. The bottles of wine and cookies left for us by Diana were delicious and much appreciated!
The bedrooms are very comfortable and each room in the house is exquisitely decorated. We could not stop talking about the beautiful attention to detail in all of the decorating. Besides the kitchen, we loved sitting on the front porch for coffee and tea in the morning and having a glass of wine in the back courtyard at night.
We all left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and reconnected. We recommend this lovely home for anyone looking for a perfect getaway and can't wait to return!
Five of us met at the house for our annual get-together. There were two bottles of wine and a plate of just-baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on the kitchen island. We drank the wine and made ourselves at home in this lovely house with eclectic pieces of art, chandelier in one of the bedrooms, and strung lights outside in the beautiful garden. We had a great time grilling steaks and eating dinner outside our first night. We enjoyed cooking brunch the next day in the fabulous kitchen. Lots of pretty dishware and glasses.
The house is in a pretty neighborhood, walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the center of town.
I highly recommend this property!
For my best friends Bacholorette weekend we decided to rent a house for 2 nights in the New Hope area. This one looked super quaint and a perfect place for us to stay. Originally there were 7 people staying. A few weeks before the weekend we called in a panic that so many girls had dropped out to stay. There were now 4 girls staying and we decided to do one less night. We called the owner and she agreed no problem. When we arrived there yesterday awaiting our wine tour bus she comes out in a panic. Saying it was only 4 girls staying that's it. It was only 4 girls staying the other girls had designated drivers and would be leaving after dinner that night. She kept mentioning she was losing money. It was still ok and we went on our tour. 20 minutes later she texts the coordinator of this weekend and says to her we can no longer stay there. This was supposed to be a nice calm night being that were in our late 20's early 30's she discriminated against us. She thought it would be wild. We were transparent the entire time about who we were and gave her ample opportunity to refuse for us to stay there. She waited until last minute and knew that we would be in a pinch to find other accommodations. Fortunately she did give us back our deposit. She is a complete flake stay away from this place. She handled everything so poorly. If you want a seamless stay in New hope beware of this awful property owner.
