The memories made with family and friends are the most important. Our goal as hosts is to provide you the perfect location to make special memories with the ones you love.
This unique and private property offers something for all ages. Great for large groups and entertaining.
There are 2 cabins onsite. Total of 12 separate beds, with 7 sepearate bedrooms, sleeps 12 adults and 6 kids.
There is more than enough room for everyone in your group to have their own space.
Your family and friends will enjoy time together in privacy on this extremely private lot on beautiful Island Lake in northern MN.

There are two cabins on the property that are situated very close together so you will not be far from your friends and family, making this site perfect for groups.

Description:
The 2-level main cabin has 5 bedrooms.
Upstairs: Bedroom#1 Queen bed. #2 Queen bed.
Downstairs: Bedroom #3 one queen bed. Bedroom #4, one queen bed and built in bunk with twin beds. Bedroom #5, one queen bed and built in bunk with twin beds.
The main cabin has two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room and open floor plan with large outdoor deck space.
The guest cabin offers 2 bedrooms.
#1 queen bed.
#2 has a build in twin over full bunk and also a separate twin bed.
There is 1 bathroom upstairs, with a kitchenette and cozy living room/dining room area.
Each cabin has a gas fireplace.
The downstairs of the guest cabin features a separate entrance with a full game room for hours of fun. This area makes a great teen hangout.
Both cabins offer spacious decks overlooking the lake, making it easy for you relax and enjoy the sounds of birds chirping outdoors.
The outdoor firepit is near the main cabin and overlooking the lake for you to enjoy campfires under the stars. Firewood is provided.

Property includes multiple play structures and even a slide and climbing wall coming from the deck on the main cabin that will be sure to delight the kids.
There is ample outdoor parking on property to easily accommodate several cars.
The home is well appointed with anything you may need on your vacation. New appliances with gas range. Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies, dinnerware, and entertaining essentials. Kuerig Duo coffee maker will accommodate ground coffee or kuerig cups. Two outdoor grills and a Blackstone griddle will make cooking for your group a breeze. There is also a crock pot, indoor griddle, food processor/blender, electric tea pot and more.
Bathrooms are fully stocked with towels, hair dryer, soaps and shampoos for your convenience.
Washer and dryer available for your use as well.
Bedrooms have plenty of cozy blankets, fresh sheets and pillows for a comfortable nights sleep.
Smart TV's are located in living room, primary bedroom, main cabin downstairs, and game room.
WIFI available for you to sign in to your own streaming services.
Lake toys for the kids, lifejackets of all sizes and beach towels also provided. The beach area has two docks, a paddle boat, and 4 kayaks with paddles for your use.

Experience all that this quaint lake area has to offer across any season. The location is close to Park Rapids, Nevis, Dorset and Walker. Swim, fish and ice fish in the lake, bike the nearby heartland trail, look around the shops and restaurants in the nearby lake towns, golf, or explore the miles of AVT and snowmobile trails near the property. The headwaters of the Mississippi at Itasca State Park is 30 miles away and makes a great day trip.

Boat launch/public access is less than 1/2 a mile from the property. Bring your boat and water toys and tie them to one of the 2 docks on the property to enjoy them during your stay.
Many ATV and Snowmobile trails near the property. You can get to the trails right from the property!
Island Lake is a great lake for fishing and ice fishing, and wild life making it a great getaway all year round.

Great place to get away

We had a wonderful time. Plenty of space for our big group. Lots of options for seating inside or out. Hosts were responsive to messages. Already booked for next year. The only confusion we had is that we thought there was another bed in the small cabin with the bunk bed like it is in the big cabin but there were still plenty of sleeping spaces.

This property worked very well for our group of 12. The kids loved the game room! Nice dock to keep our water toys tied up to. Great smaller fishing lake and also great clean lake to swim in. The cabins had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely book this cabin again.

Such a Beautiful Place

We're a group of high school friends and our spouses, we get together every summer for a lake weekend. This place was so clean and inviting. Every detail was taken care of, down to the sand on the beach was raked. It was such a wonderful place to stay! I wish there were more than 5 starts we could give them.

Fantastic Family Gathering for a Large Family

This property is fantastic. The location is great, the lake was quiet, clear, warm, and fun for all ages. The kids really enjoyed the lake, beach, yard, swings, play sets, and game room. The adults enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, and game room. The house and guest house are very nice. We had enough space for our large extended family and there are a lot of great gathering spaces. It is very kid friendly. This ranks at the top of the places we have stayed at with our family. We would love to stay as this property again.

End of Summer Vacation

We loved this house and cabin. The two houses were perfect for us with 7 bedrooms, space for everyone, many lake toys(we used them all). The wildlife, privacy and quiet of the lake were amazing. The house was clean and new and amenities were plentiful, with lots of toys for the kids. Kara was very responsive! Our kids and grandkids can’t wait to go back.

Friends retreat

We have done winter friends retreats with our families for over a decade now. (Crazy how time flies!) We loved this cabin set up for our crew. There was plenty of space for the kids to play and the parents to visit, we enjoyed big family meals and visits in the kitchen/dining/living room space, we loved the beautiful sunsets by nightly fires as the kids played, caught fish ice fishing right out in front of the cabin, took peaceful hikes and walks around the property, and just enjoyed the space. Such a great location! Highly recommend this cabin listing!

This property has it all! The house was clean, beautiful and well designed for our grown family-our adult children and 4 children under 11. There were great toys and sand for lake fun for all on the sunny days. The game room was so cool-variety and fun for all ages on the rainy days! The table space inside and deck views and seating made dinners and relaxing so easy. The appliances were great; and 2 full sz refrigerators make food storage ample. We would definitely recommend this property will definitely be back!

A Must Stay

This place was perfect for our 2nd annual friend cabin weekend. So much so, we already booked for next year! We had kids age range from 6 months to 7 years and there were toys for all ages. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances and the Blackstone was used multiple times. The beach area was perfect for our crew of swimmers and sand players. Kayaks for use was a bonus! Loved the trip around the lake. The space was perfect for 5 families of 17 people to spread out, play games, and have relaxed downtime. The place was clean and well kept up! The communication with the host was flawless, she was quick to respond to help us with booking for next year and we are already looking forward to it!
