Welcome to our spacious VRBO just located outside of Park Rapids, MN, a perfect retreat for large groups! With the capacity to sleep 13 guests, our property boasts a relaxing hot tun and a fun filled Nintendo room for entertainment. Explore the nearby natural beauty or simply unwind in comfort at our inviting getaway. Even though this isn't on the lake, it does have 90 lakes located within a 10 mile radius! You can also enjoy the trails for riding or the trails for walking/biking!

Amazing property, we had a family reunion with about 25 people and there was plenty of room for everyone. Maggie the owner was so nice and helped to make the trip very easy. We will rent from her again!

Maggie was an excellent host, and very responsive to communications. The house is neat and beautiful with stylish decor and a big, open yard surrounded by trees. It was the perfect place for our annual family vacation, and we would not hesitate to return.

Awesome place with a lot of room

The house was gorgeous with a lot of room to sleep. The location was nice and quiet but still close enough to grab something from town. Nice size yard to play yard games. Would highly recommend for a family or friend event

Annual Family Reunion

Fantastic place to say. Included everything we needed in amenities. The hot tub was enjoyed even in subzero temperatures. All someone needs to bring are clothes and food - the rest is provided in a well appointed, beautiful building and setting.

Great Home Base

This beautiful new house served our two families amazingly well as we spent the week playing on nearby lakes and visiting with family. Great kitchen and hang-out zone both inside and out. Incredibly quiet and peaceful! Each evening a deer and her fawn visited as the sun set.

Our experience with this VRBO was a mix of positives and frustrations.The original home and its location were perfect for our group of six adults and two children. We booked it in May 2025 because it was just two miles from a relative's lake home where we were attending a family reunion.In April 2026, less than three months before our trip, I was notified that the property had been double-booked for July 3 and 4. We were told we would have to move for the last two nights or find another place for our entire stay. I requested proof that another reservation had been made before mine but never received it.The owner offered another property that wasn't yet listed on VRBO. While we appreciated the alternative, it was smaller, 11 miles from our family, and the air conditioning didn't work. The owner apologized, but the issue wasn't resolved. Fortunately, we spent most days at our relative's home, but sleeping in the heat was uncomfortable.On the positive side, both homes were clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. The owner did make an effort to accommodate us after the booking issue.Overall, we have mixed feelings. The homes themselves were nice, but the double-booking, last-minute change, having to pack up and move, and lack of air conditioning in the replacement home made our vacation much more stressful than it should have been.

Unfortunately, this reservation was affected by a rare calendar synchronization issue between booking platforms that resulted in an unexpected double booking. While situations like this are extremely uncommon, we understand how frustrating it was to have your accommodations change before your trip. To make things right, we covered the cost of your final two nights at another nearby vacation home so your family could complete your stay. When the air conditioning unexpectedly stopped working, we responded immediately, arriving within the hour to troubleshoot the issue and arranging for our HVAC technician to come out the same day. Unfortunately, the repair required parts that were not immediately available. We also brought over two fans as requested to help make your stay more comfortable. We’re glad to hear you found both homes clean, well-equipped, and enjoyable overall, and we appreciate your recognition of our efforts to accommodate your family. We continuously work to provide a great experience for every guest and have since taken additional steps to prevent booking conflicts from occurring again. We wish you and your family all the best.

Girls Trip!

We had 13 friends stay at the Get Around Get Away for our yearly get together, and it by far exceeded our expectations! This house has it all! Comfy beds, hot tub, giant smart TVs in every room, gorgeous patio, modern furniture and appliances, beautiful scenery, lots of room indoors and out, and a great host. Thank you Maggie for our stay! We would love to come back again another time!

Beautiful Property

We stayed at this property with 10 friends. The house was furnished nicely. The kitchen included two sets of silverware for our big group, which was handy. The host had thought of everything when it came to having items provided in the house. Whenever we needed anything, the host was close by and took care of us. The bedrooms were nice with the king sized beds. We ran into a traffic jam in the mornings with only one bathroom upstairs for 8 people. Aside from that, there was plenty of space otherwise and folks could spread out if they wanted to. I would highly recommend this property!

We had my sister and her fiancés bach trip here and we all seriously had the best weekend!! The attention to detail not only in the house but the whole property did not go unnoticed! The whole house is absolutely stunning, and the yard was the perfect size for bags, chatting in lawn chairs, and enjoying our time together! Our whole weekend was so peaceful and we had perfect weather all weekend! Maggie was super communicative and made the check in and check out process extremely easy!We would all come back to stay here again!!
