A couple of caveats

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had rental very close to the beach, so the location was excellent. The condo itself was very nice and well kept. The restaurant on the property is reasonably priced and serves good food. But I must mention a couple of things that were not ideal. The property consists of several buildings, each with a different name. From the parking lot, we had no idea where our building was; there was no signage to direct us. Thankfully, someone passing by said that the signs directing guests to each building were in the elevator. It seemed unusual and unhelpful to us that we had to get on the elevator before we could know where our building was, much less our room. Also, when we left, there was a long list of housekeeping duties we had to perform in order to avoid an additional charge of $100. We had to strip the beds, take out the trash, wash the dishes, etc. In other words, we were expected to do things they didn't want to pay a housekeeper to do. After paying between $2000 and $3000 for the rental, we thought that was unreasonable. We've stayed at numerous other rentals and have never been required to do housekeeping duties. If the reader isn't bothered by any of this, that's fine; but we will probably not stay there again. Now for something that has nothing to do with this property: parking on the island is hard to find and expensive. We spent $8.00 on parking to eat breakfast one morning. After that, we ate off the island.

The highlight was definitely the balcony—amazing ocean views and the sound of the waves all day long. It was such a relaxing spot to hang out. The location was great too, right on the beach and close to shops and we loved the onsite restaurant. We will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect for beach lovers!

Loved watching sunrises on the beach as well as from our balcony! Beach is less than a minute away and everything else is very close by highlyvrecommend. Plenty of room forc4 adults.

What a VIEW

We really enjoyed the location and amenities of this property! However, our favorite was sitting in the tall chairs watching the sun come up every morning over the ocean. The furnishing and appliances may be a little dated but honestly it added to the charm of the artistic beach unit. My family had a blast playing games at the large dining table. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed for cooking dinner.

Fabulous condo on the ocean

I only have positive feedback for our stay at Beachside Colony unit 423. Our first impression as we walked in was that we have a great place to stay. It was super clean, beautifully decorated, and felt very welcoming. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, which isn’t always the case. We had straight on ocean views from the deck and were able to enjoy the beautiful sunrises. The beach was clean and we enjoyed the large area. We will most definitely be back and hope to stay in unit 423 in the future❤️

Everything is familiar and comfortable. The condo itself is great - spacious, nice kitchen that has everything you need to cook a quick meal, huge walk in shower in the master bedroom. Two balconies with amazing views and comfortable chairs. Everyone at the office are amazing. Looking forward to staying here again! I saw a couple of reviews where people were complaining about "broken shades in the master bedroom. A quick note for future guests - curtains / shades in the master bedroom have magnetic closure. GENTLY pull to the end until you hear a very distinct click. If you don't hear it, the curtain will "run back".

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo could not have been in a more perfect location for watching the ocean. However, you have to go outside to Hear it. You cannot leave the patio doors open to enjoy the sounds of the ocean from the comfort of the condo (which is half the fun of renting a beachside condo - the sounds at night). If you leave the patio doors open too long, allegedly it will freeze up the air conditioning unit and you have to pay an additional fee. Which brings up another problem we think is bogus. You CANNOT adjust the thermostat! The temperature isn't bad, but if we can't listen to the ocean and enjoy the ocean breeze, you should be able to make adjustments to the thermostat for YOUR comfort! Make sure if you have more than 4 people in your group to bring towels, they only provide 4, none in the cabinets. The departure rules are very specific about everything you must do for them and if you don't you will be charged an additional fee.(With the cleaning fee as high as it is, make sure you follow the rules.)

This year (2023) was no exception.The "up front" view of the ocean is always present and the balcony gives us a prime location to see the views, hear the ocean waves and other related sounds, and smell the refreshing salt air. A short walk takes us right to the beach whenever we want to go. Perfect!I've already reserved it for next summer and am sure we'll love it again!
