Me and my family really enjoyed staying at Cold Springs , The Manager Rose was Great..Was some renovations goin on the property but that wasn't a major issue. Cabin was very clean and comfortable we didn't have no real complaints we shal Return very Soon...
Hosts were very nice and communicative and they allowed an early check in because of a snow storm. However, the cabin was very dirty. The prior guest had been staying there for two months with a dog prior to our arrival and it was not adequately cleaned. There was dog hair covering the couch. The couch and pillows smelled like dog. There were food scraps, hair and other garbage under the couch cushions when we went to use the pullout bed. The guest left personal belongings. The dishes and silverware were put away wet and dirty and all needed to be rewashed prior to use. The dog was kept in the bathroom - The doorknob of the bathroom was mangled like a dog's chew toy, there were bite marks in the toilet seat, and scratches on the bathroom door. The main door to the cabin had large gaps to the door frame allowing more than a draft... more like a breeze of cold air blowing in. The heat is forced hot air with a bad thermostat that resulted in a wide range of temperatures.

Yes we will offer a credit on your next stay. It was astonishing the condition the last guest left the place after being in there over a full month and a half with his dog. I did ask the last guest what happened and he said the dog accidentally locked himself in when he was away. We did everything possible to have it turned over for your arrival and did suggest we could place you in another cabin and you responded that it was fine and thanked us for trying to accommodate you as we were also in the middle of a snow storm that has been the worst recorded storm ever and were considering canceling guests and gave notice however insisted on coming. I have now added a new trade skill and become a locksmith and replaced out the lock. We are happy to offer a credit on your next stay when there is no storm in the area .
