About Alisa Bigham

Andrew and Angela Clark live in Hampshire, United Kingdom with their three children Charlie, George and Elliott. Two dogs Stanley (Terrier) and Maggie (Shih Tzu).

Alisa Bigham purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Alisa Bigham chose Trion

We chose the North-West Georgia Area after a wonderful family vacation back in 2003 just a stones throw from where our cabin is located. The scenery, community, everything seemed so perfect. During our vacation we purchased the spectacular 36 acres and endeavoured to build our perfect 'get away'. The cabin was finished in 2005 and since then we have had many enjoyable family vacations. We now want to share the many benefits the cabin and the surrounding area has to offer.

What makes this cabin unique

The peaceful sunrises, majestic sunsets, playful hummingbirds and the stunning views are just a small part of what made us fall in love with our home. Spending time with family chatting, eating outside and just enjoying our time away from the stresses of every day life make for beautiful memories.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you for thinking of building this house in one of the most beautiful places! You supplied everything needed and the cabin is very clean and well kept. We will return!! Thank you again.

What a lovely 5 starts private staty

  • 5 of 5

Can't describe how fascinating the first impression was when we were driving uphill through the narrow drive path looking for the lodge... spectacular feelings when we sighted the charming 360 view from the top .. we were more happy when we stepped inside the lodge, what a clean, nice smell, everything a family might think of for a nice vacation.. everything was there as described .. my kids and my wife couldn't be happy more ... they refused to leave even for a bite :) ... it was charming.. highly recommended for a vacation or timeout... Alisa and her husband Brent were responsive and supportive all the time.. not to forget the lovely town they have and friendly faces you get as a stranger from all the people there... 5 stars for the lodge, Alisa, location, town and everything.. it's my first option for another vacation.. P.S. make sure to look for the weather forecast and be prepared for the bugs outside.. Good Luck and all the best!

Peavine Lodge is the ideal setting to retreat from the world!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival, we found the Lodge in immaculate order. Of all the vacation properties I have ever visited, this one is set apart in terms of attention to detail! There were plenty of activities on the property to keep us entertained! We enjoyed watching wild turkeys feed outside the windows in the morning. We took a couple of excursions to nearby Cloudland Canyon and Rocktown. Both are worth the drive!

Thank you for allowing us into your well planned vacation home! We hope to return!

Amazing views, pristine accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We rented Peavine Lodge for a girl's getaway. Everyone was immensely pleased. The cabin had every amenity we could need. We spent the majority of our time poolside and everyone left with awesome tans. The property managers checked on us, and were so gracious. We highly recommend this spot, and plan on visiting again. Just FYI, don't let the steep driveway coming in scare you, because serenity awaits at the top.

Fantastic Stay, Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Another fantastic stay in this beautiful cabin. As always, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, walking the trails and the sunset. The weather was unseasonably hot so the pool was a god send!

During our stay, Alisa (the property manager) took us to see a new rental property that the owners are building on an additional 12 private acres of adjoining land. The place looks awesome! contemporary style, nothing like the cabin. Can't wait to stay in there when its ready.

Thanks again Alisa for another wonderful stay in your cabin. Looking forward to return again.

Lookout Mountain (TN) which is approximately 37 miles away is a great place to explore. It is home to the famous Rock City Gardens where you can see seven states from the top viewing point. At the bottom of the mountain is Ruby Falls Caverns and the very popular Incline Railway which takes you 1 mile up the mountain to Point Park where there is a historical Civil War State Park.

Drive a further 15 miles and you will be in Chattanooga. Here you will find the impressive Tennessee Aquarium, Imax theatre, Baseball Stadium, various Tennessee River cruises, paddle-boarding, restaurants, bars, shops and the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo, all within walking distance once you have parked up.

Cloudland Canyon is a great place to visit (approx. 28 miles from Pinhoti) for hiking where you can find fabulous waterfalls and scenery. (access to the waterfalls is by foot and involves many steps although you will see plenty of young children walking them too)

James H Floyd State Park (14 miles) is the perfect place for a family day out for a picnic, walking and paddle-boating on the beautiful lake.

Little River Canyon State Park , Alabama (30 miles) is very popular with the youngsters for swimming in the pools that form at the base of the waterfall. There are some great hikes here too and picnic areas at the start of the park.

Closer to Pinhoti is Station House of Lafayette restaurant (8 miles). It has a friendly atmosphere with fantastic, reasonably price food. We have enjoyed eating with friends there many times.
