Dunedin Waterside Cottage Private Estate

The Waterside Cottage House is part of a private estate. It is located on prestigious and historic Victoria Drive in delightful Dunedin, Florida.

The A/C was replaced in 2023. The house faces west and overlooks Saint Joseph’s Sound and Dr. Beach's 2008 pick for the most beautiful beach in the country, Caladesi Island State Park. With 108 feet of private waterfront the views are completely unobstructed. You will see breathtaking sunsets as well as abundant bird and sea life on a daily basis.

Location is everything. The Waterside Cottage is across the street from the Pinellas Trail, walking distance from the quaint downtown district, 2.34 miles from Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island, 5.91 miles from Clearwater Beach, 3.99 miles from Countryside Mall, and 20.33 miles from Tampa Airport. If you are not familiar with Dunedin, it is well known for its award winning beaches, Friday morning fresh markets, unique gift shops, award winning restaurants, and fun filled merchant association sponsored events. Money Magazine ranked Dunedin as one of the top 10 Gulf Coast communities.

Weekly Minimum Rentals'Except Jan-Mar, One Month Minimum', Pets Welcome with $50 Per Week Per Pet Limit of 2 Pets'$200.00Max'. All-inclusive except for electric with monthly rentals, paid directly to owner via separate security deposit.

HOUSE RULES:
You must be 25 years of age to book any of our homes. The person booking the home must also be one of the occupants.
Saturday to Saturday booking only in the months of Feb, Mar, June, July and Aug. One week minimum stay.
No Smoking. - $250 extra cleaning charge for smoking in the unit
No Parties.
Check-in is after 4pm
Check-out is before 10am

The Many Things We Loved About This Property

It's quaint and precious. It's an easy walk to downtown Dunedin and the Pinellas Trail. The water view from the spacious screened in front porch is spectacular. Most importantly, the host lives on the property and has extraordinary attention to detail and pride of ownership throughout this urban estate. The host takes excellent care of the buildings and grounds and we happy to support her with our business.

Dream location and stay

This charming Victorian cottage was so beautifully decorated that I just enjoyed walking around looking at all its nooks and crannies - it was so unique . When I woke up and saw the view it was something out of a magazine. It was very quiet and peaceful and so convenient to the great town of Dunedin . I loved getting up early and having coffee just enjoying the peaceful view of the water .The host was very accommodating and gave us wonderful tips . She is an animal lover, and we really enjoyed meeting her nature friends. The grounds are meticulously maintained by her as well and everything is pristine. I can only hope to come back again . We had a wonderful, albeit too short stay . Thank you Autumn!

It doesn’t get any better than this!

We stayed in the two bedroom and one bedroom rentals on this property for Christmas week. This was nothing short of a magical experience. Our host, Autumn was beyond accommodating and made us feel right at home. The sunset views from the porch alone are worth the price. We enjoyed daily walks on Victoria Drive to downtown Dunedin, which is less than 10 minutes from the property. Autumn has stocked her rental properties with everything you would need for a comfortable stay…and more! The decor is elegant and comfortable with whimsical touches everywhere you look. The special treat was observing all the variety of birds, including an osprey nest just outside of the kitchen window. We look forward to staying there again & I highly recommend Autumn‘s property to other VRBO travelers. You won’t be disappointed!

Charming house and charming town!!!

This cottage was charming, yet spacious! We had 3 adults and 3 kids of all ages and we never felt crowded. Waking up ans having breakfast on the porch was wonderful. My son would go to the dock and ride his bike (it now lives there with the 4 adult bicycles) right in our view. The best thing was that everything you need is there! We saved so much money because it was there! From shampoo to dish soap, batteries, paper goods or all your beach needs (chairs umbrella coolers towels!) Autumn had it and encouraged us to use it. We would visit new beaches each day and then the whole family would bike ride to the charming town of Dunedin for dinner. We had a new kind of family vacation that included more than just going to the beach every day. We loved it! The one bathroom is very spacious and we managed sharing with no problem!

Darling Cottage on the Gulf

We arrived on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Sweetheart Cottage (the yellow cottage) to a warm welcome from the owner, Autumn. She took me and my family on a tour of the adorable cottage, the laundry/storage area and the private pier (off of which my husband caught several species of fish during our stay). We knew at once that we made the right choice in booking this place for our 12 day stay! Not only was the landscaping beautiful and the gulf picturesque, Autumn made every effort to accomodate us. The cottage was stocked from top to bottom, it was immaculate, and the decor was enchanting :) Even my husband, who fancies bear-skin rugs and antlers, liked it! Autumn was always a phone call away and was usually on the property. I have already recommended her properties to many of my friends and family. The town of Dunedin itself is great. There is a playground right across the street and there are many cute shops to visit. The only negatives I must mention (which are not huge issues) are that there is no ice maker, only ice trays,and the parking spot was a little hard to get into with our big truck. But this in no way kept us from having a lovely experience. This was by far the most relaxing place we've ever stayed in Florida. We hope to return in the near future!

Dunedin Cottages are a very nice set of cottages that have the feeling of being well off the beaten path, even though they are close to the coastal road. Even that road is two lanes only. The lane leading to the cottages is narrow, so we can see how a large truck might have a squeeze, although the parking spaces themselves are ample. The smaller roads are actually part of the charm of this set of cottages. The property is on the waterfront of St Joseph Sound, which is the intra-coastal waterway of this area. You will also find a dock belonging to the Dunedin Cottages on the the waterfront.

Fantastic location in quaint cottage on waterfront

This is a perfect location and very quaint cottage on the water with a beautiful view and short walk down a back road to town. Our family of 5 slept well and totally enjoyed ourselves. Autumn had everything we needed - including a washing machine with soap, We lovd the front screened in porch that we sat out on a lot and watched the sunset. Our father in law lives nearby so we hope to be back again !

Dunedin cottage

We loved staying at the cottage, very comfortable and specious. Kitchen is very well stocked and we found everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the best sunset in the world from the deck. My husband enjoyed fishing on the deck with the kids, and we even spotted dolphines! We also enjoyed canoeing and bird watching. Autumn, thank you for letting us use the bikes and for accommodating our family. Owner on site at all times.

Loved it!!

We could not have been more pleased with this house and the owner. She was super friendly and very accommodating. The location, the views, and the yard were just fabulous. The kitchen was better stocked than my own and everything in the house was beautiful and inviting. I would recommend this property to anyone planning a stay in the Dunedin area.
