Overview

About the property

3 bedroom camp (cottage) with view of sheltered bay on Lake Champlain.

Relive those lazy days of yesteryear by the lake! This cozy 3-bedroom 1-bath seasonal camp on Malletts Bay holds all the charm and character of days gone by while including the comforts of home. Relax and watch the boats go by from the screened-in porch or take a dip in the lake off the private raft. The raft is also perfect for fishing or sunning. Blue Camp can sleep up to 8 (counting the sofa sleeper), although some guests enjoy sleeping on the screened porch for more of an outdoor experience. Limited dock space and mooring is also available for guests that want to bring their boat along. Fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with wood-stove for those cool nights. Quiet location is on a dead end dirt road within walking distance from the general store. For lakeside or Church Street dining, Burlington is accessible by bike (30-45 min on the community bike path), boat, or automobile (15 min). For the more adventurous, several zip lines are within 90 minutes and various restaurants are available on the NY side of Lake Champlain which can be crossed with your boat or by ferry. Bikes (4), kayaks (2), paddle board and small row boat are available for use. Other attractions include hiking trails, mountain climbing, museums, wineries, boat tours, drive-in movie theatre and more.

Paradise on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time that we didn't want to leave. Beautiful view of the lake right from the living room and the huge screened-in porch with coffee every morning out there. Very peaceful, comfy and clean with plenty to do. My husband tried fishing, our son the paddle board and played ping pong. Drove into Burlington which is beautiful , also. Our landlord, John, I spoke to on the phone and was very, very nice, friendly and very accommodating. We look forward to going back again. We highly recommend "Blue Camp". It is wonderful!! Thank you so much, John.

Perfect Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Blue Camp. My family came to Vermont for a graduation and stayed the week. The Camp itself is rustic and charming, and has everything we could need. The kayaks and bikes and the tip to visit the Causeway were a great way to see the lake. We would highly recommend this property, and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.

Wish we can stay longer.......

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Blue Camp. The weather was great and we could see all the beautiful sceneries everyday. The Camp is well-equipped and feel like home. The owner who lives next house is a plus. Wish we can stay longer so we can go bicycling around town. Well, maybe next year or summer time then.

Lovely Cottage / Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My family and I absolutely love our vacations at Blue Camp. Very charming cottage right on the water. The owner keeps it up well and has many things onsite to keep you occupied - paddle board, kayaks, ping pong table and more. Very peaceful location. Also a quick trip to Burlington which we took advantage of most nights for dinner (so many wonderful restaurants). Look forward to our time here every year!

Sunset Drive-In Theatre is 2 miles away. Lake Champlain is the largest freshwater lake in the United States outside of the Great Lakes and has many picturesque islands and coves to explore. The Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York offer many hiking trails and scenic drives. With all of its natural beauty, low population density (second least populated state after Wyoming), and opportunities to experience the outdoors, Vermont is a popular destination spot for tourists (tourism is Vermont's largest industry).
