The ranch provides the perfect private getaway for a family or small group. Try your hand at wrangling or driving cattle. Or, just relax and enjoy views of the majestic Elkhorn and Big Belt Mountains, both part of the Rocky Mountain range, and the nearby Canyon Ferry Lake.
This historic ranch was homesteaded in 1865 by Valentine Staubach, a German immigrant. Many of the original buildings remain on the ranch.
The newly remodeled guest house provides a comfortable residence for guests. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, silverware and flatware. The house also has a large-capacit washer and dryer.

Staubach Creek Ranch is a working cattle ranch offers horseback riding at the ranch and on nearby National Forest. Great hiking on and off the ranch. Guests are welcome to participate in ranch operation: moving cattle, roping, fencing, and irrigating. Fly/Spin fishing in nearby Missouri River, Canyon Ferry Lake and small streams. Explore Montana's capital city, Helena, which offers both historical and art museums, live theater/ concerts, shopping, tours of the beautiful capitol building and historic mansions. Located between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. It's also a great place to celebrate wedding or family reunion.
Year Purchased: 1997
About the owner: Jeff and Marie Hoeffner own and operate the ranch. They run about 300 head of cattle, a dozen horses, two mules, two donkeys,two dogs, two cats, and five peacocks. They are parents to three teenage children who contribute to the ranch operation.
