The ranch provides the perfect private getaway for a family or small group. Try your hand at wrangling or driving cattle. Or, just relax and enjoy views of the majestic Elkhorn and Big Belt Mountains, both part of the Rocky Mountain range, and the nearby Canyon Ferry Lake.

This historic ranch was homesteaded in 1865 by Valentine Staubach, a German immigrant. Many of the original buildings remain on the ranch.

The newly remodeled guest house provides a comfortable residence for guests. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, silverware and flatware. The house also has a large-capacit washer and dryer.

Cozy and clean. Perfect for our group of four. Scenery is amazing and not too far from town.

Marie and Jeff are wonderful hosts. House was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. A perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Montana without being too far from the city. Beautiful ranch and I recommend taking a horse back ride to see some of their property. Our group was here for a working Mission trip so the ranch provided wonderful views and a peaceful setting to unwind every day. I highly recommend the Staubach Creek Ranch if you are visiting Helena or Bozeman. - Mike M.

Amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stopped at this amazing peaceful farm on our way from/to camping, and it offered all we could ask for and much more, Marie and Jeff went beyond them self’s to make us feel at home, and from a simple stop in the middle of our family trip it became the best part of it.

Warm & Welcoming!

  • 5 of 5

I had my friend's bachelorette party at the Hoeffner Family's beautiful guest home! The family was so warm and welcoming to us, took us horse back riding, and made sure we had everything we needed. Hope to come back soon!

If you would like a comfortable and unusually natural experience and surroundings the guest house at the ranch makes you feel like you are a guest at the Ewing ranch on the TV show Dallas. We walked in and could not believe how spacious it was. 20 mile views out the windows and elk bugeling outside the windows at night was an added feature we enjoyed. The hosts are kind family people and there is a lot to learn about cattle, hay, fencing, water and horses if you like. This is an unexpected nice experience for couples or families. Totally down to earth.
