The Owner purchased this cabin in 1995

Why The Owner chose Yellowstone Country

Kelly purchased this property in 1987 when we moved to the Red Lodge area. We own 28 acres and have 3/4 mile of Rock Creek frontage. Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin was built in 1995 in order to provide a unique log cabin rental for people wishing to experience the rustic flavor of Montana.

What makes this cabin unique

Rock Creek is but a few short steps from the deck of Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin. The sounds of the babbling brook can be enjoyed while relaxing on the deck. Several 'fishing holes' on Rock Creek are a short hike away. The adjoining property is the Horse Thief Station Fishing Access site and has beaver ponds full of eager brrok trout.

Highlight of our Honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, wow, wow! The cabin was perfect! We had 3 amazing nights at Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin. We easily found the place. Upon first impression, we were delighted! The cabin is set in a private area, with trees, meadow, and the creek as neighbors. The owner lives about 400 yards away so, again, this is very private! There is a rapid river near that is soothing to hear at night, but then there is a little creek even closer that is nice to view. There is a fire ring, a picnic table, bridges over the creek and to the river, a grill, a bench, and the amazing hot tub! The deck overlooks a long meadow and the trees that surround the creek. Upon opening the door, our jaws dropped. The cabin is stunning. Pictures will never do this place justice. It is so much more amazing in person. There are 3 bedrooms - 2 on the main floor and 1 in the loft. We slept in the loft. The bed was like a dream. There is a tv in the main floor living room, along with a couch. There is a dining table and a nice sized kitchen. The decor is rustic and looks great. The owners also can bring guests horseback riding for $35/hour per person, so we did that. We ride horses on every vacation and this was the best experience we have ever had. The horses were tame, but they don't boringly all walk in a straight line. They had personality and it was perfect. Kelly and Everett were the nicest people we encountered. And the VIEW! Seeing the mountains from our front porch was outstanding. Sitting in the hot tub at night looking up at the stars of Big Sky Country was idyllic. We saw a deer in the woods next to the cabin, but no bears. The place felt safe and was very quiet all through the day & night. The location was so wonderful - just outside of town in a rural setting. We thought we had been on good vacations before, but this was the best. We cannot wait to come back again! We miss it already.

A fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin is perfect! The location is gorgeous, and the sound of Rock Creek is in the background. The stars at night are brilliant, and guests can enjoy the night sky by sitting on a picnic table or chairs around a campfire. The interior of the cabin is spotless and spacious, with unique craftsmanship throughout.

Cabin experience with comfort

  • 5 of 5

Red lodge a great town to visit - really pretty and great amenities.

Kellys cabin just outside town, very private and on a creek. Lots of bird life and deer visited every evening of our stay. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good seating inside and out, comfy beds and great kitchen amenities.

Gather fishing is great, we didn't have time.

One of the ways into Yellowstone is over the iconic Beartooth highway just out of town.

Beautiful places nearby to view wildlife, we saw both a moose and a mountain lion a few yards away very close to Red Lodge

Nice and Unique cabin

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. Close to town, but very remote feel. Only small complaint was no coffee and beat up BBQ grill. That is the only bad thing I can say about the place. We all had a great and relaxing time.
