This newly renovated condo has hardwood floors throughout. The decor is modern and the walls exhibit a collection of artful Black and White as well as color photographs. The house was built in 1845, in the Greek Revival style.
We are located in Inman Square-a neighborhood of Cambridge that sits between Harvard and MIT. Inman Square has some of the most highly regarded restaurants in the Boston area including Oleana and the East Coast Grill, among many others.
We are a 10 minute walk to the Central Square T stop and a 15-20 minute walk to Harvard Square. We are also a 15 minute walk to MIT. The Central Square train stop is 3 stops on the red line from Boston Common. We are closer to downtown Boston than most of Boston.
Our condo is ideal for families and groups as well as visiting academics. We offer an affordable and spacious alternative to hotels with a full eat-in kitchen in the condo. The condo and linens are thoroughly cleaned after every stay.

We both love Cambridge for its walkability, restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and nightlife. Michelle works for the State of Maine in policy analysis and I am a self-employed Cabinetmaker. When not working we both enjoy creative pursuits, reading and eating good food.
We recently moved to the coast of Maine and decided to turn this condo, our previous home, into a vacation rental. The space has undergone renovations and should provide a perfect launching point for travelers to explore the Cambridge/Boston area.
Jim Creighton purchased this condo in 2006
Our second floor condo sleeps up to 6 people comfortably and is within a 10 minute walk of the red line T at Central Square. It is located steps away from the bustling Inman Square center where you will find many outstanding restaurants, shops and bars.
Inman Square is a genuine culinary mecca with many of the finest restaurants in the Boston area nearby.
We arrived late in the evening and were very happy with how easy it was to locate the apartment and our parking space. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very adequate. The location with the bus only three houses away and the parking one house away made transportation options very easy. A mini mart just half a block away and other food options very close by. We will definitely return to this apartment when ever we return to Boston.
Upon arriving, from the street the condo is quaint and cute and has need kept up. When you open the door to go inside the stairs are IMMEDIATELY upon opening the door and VERY STEEP and narrow, this could be an issue for some travelers. When you open the door to the unit, it is clean and tidy. It is old, so all the floors creek. There were ample linens for the bathroom and kitchen. Pots and pans plentiful. Weird inexpensive utensils but meet the need. No cutting board and take your own knives, if you like sharp, decent knives for meal prep. There was no shower gel or napkins/paper towels but plenty of hand soap and dish soap. Well supplied. There is no dresser in the 2nd room for "storage", but some sort of "table" which worked ok. There is only one small closet with a few hangers for hanging coats. Overall, we were happy with our accommodations and I would stay here again. There were 4 of us in our party. It wasn't too loud, beds were decent. Neighbors downstairs were pleasant. Close to attractions.
The apartment is on the second floor, with rather steep stairs. The third bedroom is actually a loft that is reached through the second bedroom. The arrangement was perfect for our three grandchildren. The apartment is very close to Inman Square,. We recommend that you buy a Charlie Card with unlimited bus and subway and take bus # 83 or #91 to and from the Central Square T station. From there it's just a few stops to central Boston. This will save a long walk down Inman Street. Other than an overhead light out in the kitchen and the ice maker not working, everything was fine (There were ice trays). All necessary utensils were provided; and although there was only air conditioning in the kitchen and the third bedroom, fans was provided in the other two bedrooms, which we found quite adequate. We appreciated having coffee and sugar left in the apartment.
Our family of five (three children, two adults) had a wonderful 4-night stay at this Cambridge apartment. The listing description was completely accurate, and -- if anything -- it exceeded expectations! (Yes, you must go through one of the bedrooms to get to the loft – not a problem for us, however.) The property was clean (very important to us) and in very good shape and condition. The owner was very responsive, answering questions in advance clearly and comprehensively, answering questions while we were on site quickly and he returned our deposit promptly. I would, without any hesitation, recommend this property to others. (My only suggestion would be to bring 'black-out masks' if you are there in the summer – the bright sunshine comes in early. ... On that note, I should also report that the A/C survived the 100 deg F weather very well! ...) The location is wonderful: Whole Foods is close, the apartment is on a quiet street in a nice residential neighbourhood and it is very close to public transport. ... And both Cambridge and Boston are fantastic! ... Not much else to say. :> ... We would happily stay there again.
The location is perfect for sightseeing in Boston and Cambridge. We housed six adults for one week and were very comfortable. The kitchen is clean and fully equipped for simple meals. A grocery store is a few blocks away. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance. We took the T everywhere we went, including First Night Celebration on New Year's Eve. It is about a 10-minute walk to the Central Square station. The owner was available by phone whenever we had a question. You can walk to Harvard Square in about 10 minutes as well. We would definitely stay here again if we were in Boston or Cambridge.
This property is incorrectly listed as a 3-bedroom unit. It is in fact a 2-bedroom unit with a loft connected to the second bedroom. This was inconvenient for our family unit which consisted of two couples plus another person. In all other respects the apartment was fine—clean, comfortable, well-equipped kitchen, excellent location. When we contacted the owner he agreed that the listing was misleading but has not yet modified it, so I am putting this information out so that others do not suffer the inconvenience that we did.
Walk to shops, restaurants, attractions. Convenient to Boston's attractions.
