Great location for a family vacation

The property was very clean and accurate to the listing description. Bonuses include lots of bath towels, washer/dryer in rental, free parking, 2 free beach chairs with an umbrella daily. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Loved it!

Very nice and spacious condo. Room sizes were great. Location was good and the beach was very empty. I would stay here again. Only complaint was the carpets really need to be shampooed, they were quite dirty.

Balcony on the second floor so if you were not at the beach you could see and hear the beach. Great time by everyone in our group. The unit had all equipment needed to cook anything.

Beach vacation

Basically we liked our stay but the place needs to be updated...furniture is old and outdated and would have liked a door in the master. Also i would probably do no carpeting and just laminate much easier to keep clean. Door on common bathroom knob was broke and needs fixed. Main door could either be cleaned or replaced. This was a great location with great beach access. Size was good for my family. Place has a lot of potential to go from good to great. Also liked how each room. Has a good tv.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location to the beach was great. Short walk and excellent views from the balcony. We saw dolphins swimming several mornings. Bedrooms were large and roomy. Master bed was super comfy, the others were good but not quite as comfy as the master but we all slept good. Kitchen was fairly well stocked, however we had toddlers and all the dishes/cups were glass. It would have been helpful to have some plastic options. Would definitely consider renting this unit again.

Our unit was ready on time ( early actually) and clean as could be. The location is actually my favorite. Brooks & Shorey is very responsive to any questions or needs. I will never rent through anyone but them. The actual unit could use a little updating, like living room furniture and getting rid of old carpet. Neither of those would change my mind about renting the same unit again!

Crab island is the best! Part of the reason we come to Destin/Fort Walton. A couple places we always go is McGuires Irish Pub. Great food and atmosphere. Also found a place named, Millers ale House. Loved the chicken zingers! We sat at the back bar and met a bartender named (Robby, Robbie?) Right on with getting our drinks and so funny! Hope he's still there next year! This condo is one we all really like so we aren't going anywhere else!

Being right on the beach allowed us to watch dolphins in the morning from our balcony. Very clean! We also noticed a lot of cleaning being done on the building itself. Did I mention how comfortable the beds are? We slept very well. Even with Alexa there I still would have liked to have lamented instructions there. Overall... your condo helped make our vacation wonderful! The girls are already asking me when can we reserve for same time next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall condo was nice and met the needs of my family. Unfortunately, we had to two issues1. the refrigerator had serval broken parts(door shelves) and glass shelves could no hold the pull out drawer. based off the state of the refrigerator this was not new issue as the door shelves were stacked on top when we arrived. 2. As we were checking out, there was a significant oil spill in the parking lot, which one of our party slipped and fell. As a family who has rented from Brooks and Shorey for many years, this was our first experience with these types of issues.

Right on the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Right on the beach which was great. The parking lot was very steep in places, so don’t let go of the luggage cart. Close to boat rentals, grocery store, restaurants, and ice cream. The pool is not on the beach side and is small but kids still had fun in it. The condo was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Loved that each room had its own bathroom so I didn’t have to share with teenagers. Also great that there were two room with king sized beds. Check out was at 10 but the cleaning lady showed up and 9 and stayed there until we left so not a lot of room to get in and out of the room with her cleaning cart and our luggage cart. I was unable to get one of the balcony doors to lock. I think it was the one that led to the bedroom. Didnt have to keep a bracelet on when we went to pool like other condos. Free beach chairs nice. I used the extra freebies to call and get a ticket to the big kahuna. Very easy phone call.
