The cottage is pleasant and fairly comfortable, but there are a few things that should be repaired, including the chairs on the dock, and door to 3 person bedroom which doesnt close, pools of rust on the fireplace couls be cleaned.. It has so much potential, however more pride should be put into the house, it could wonderful.

With 30 degree temperatures and no A/C, and the fact that none of the master bedroom windows opened, made for a very hot and uncomfortable stay.It took 3 hours just to get the TV to work as the universal remote had not been programmed. Also no cell phone coverage. We had to go to the nearest town so my wife could communicate with her doctor. The upstairs is very dated and the VRBO pictures don't show the true story. You do not get your bang for your buck in this place.

The venue was absolutely lovely. Our family had a great time with this property. The water front was so nice to bird watch as we saw many different types of birds as well as just enjoy the calming waves come in. The property was somewhat off grid as it did not have cell reception which was nice to avoid any phone calls from work but wifi was on the property so you weren’t completely unreachable. Kitchen was well stocked with basic needs such as spices, pots, tea, coffee and condiments. The house had lots of beds for our extended family of 9 which can aomtimes be difficult to find a place to accommodate. The surrounding area had loads to do such a Taylor head beach which was a gorgeous beach which we ended up having to our selves after a nice hike. The town of Sheet Harbour was also lovely and had anything you’d need while trying to get away from the city. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from the city and enjoy the peaceful quiet of Point Dufferin.

Shoreline Serenity

We had a wonderful time this summer! The location was perfect - right by the water so we drink our coffee with a beautiful view and could hear the waves at night. Everything that we needed was provided, right down to extra takeout containers for leftovers! We highly recommend!
