Cozy Townhome in Town sleeps 8!

You’ll feel right at home from the moment you enter this homey, spacious, non-smoking townhome duplex unit built in 1998 and remodeled in 2013. Ours is the back (south) unit. Luxurious bedding, tasteful furnishings, natural wood accents, granite counters, and saltillo tile floors with radiant heat welcome you, while a wall of south-facing windows flood the vaulted great room with light. There are great views of the Butte from the front porch and rear balcony.

The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing balcony-deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is a larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds and one full bath. A second full bath and sleeper sofa are on the main level, while the loft has two queen beds and its own half bath. The living area has a desk and big screen Sony smart TV.

Conveniently located in town, just two blocks from the free bus that takes you on the short 10 min. ride to the ski area (last stop going, first stop returning). It's an easy 5-10 minute walk to the Elk Avenue restaurants and shopping. It's four blocks from the main town park where outdoor concerts are held.

Parking is shared with the front unit. There are four total parking spaces in front, and one dedicated to our unit in back off the alley.

Kid-Friendly: Our kids loved it, and yours will too! It's 1/2 block from Rainbow Park with soccer field, playscape, and climbing boulder, and 1/2 mile from a BMX park. There's a pack'n'play crib and a child booster seat available in the first bedroom closet. See if they can find the 'secret view' of the Butte from the loft...

Pets: Sorry we are no longer accepting pets at our property.

The Purple Mountain Lodge B&B is right next door if extra beds are needed.

HOLIDAY MINIMUM STAY POLICY: We require a six night minimum over the Christmas holidays and five nights over other holiday weeks.

When checking out please do NOT lock the door from the inside using the doorknob lock as we have no keys. Only use the keypad on the outside the door to lock the door when checking out.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Large parties (for weddings etc. ) of >8 people are NOT allowed. Our property manager lives next door so we will be aware if this occurs.
Noise curfew of 11 pm. This can flex an hour later if nobody is in the front unit, but our neighbors are full-time residents with small children.
We require a 5 night minimum on holiday weeks (Thanksgiving week, Christmas week through NY's, July 4 week). Also , we are no longer accepting pets.

Awesome location and great place

Really nice hosts and easy check in. Location was great as its right by the mountain bus stop and blocks away from the main street in Crested Butte. Highly recommend :)

Crested Butte Comfort

Very much enjoyed my stay. The location cannot be beat. We walked to dinner every night to Elk Street locations. The home was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Host was welcoming and responsive!

Great house close to Town.

We rely enjoyed the week. The house met all of our needs and is close to the Shuttle stop and close to the Main street. It was a pretty cold week, but we were warm and cozy while in the house.

Beautiful home, fantastic location

Awesome place to stay! Great location and all the amenities you could ask for!!

Our family loved everything about this house. The owners thought of everything....well stocked! Great location...just blocks away from downtown Crested Butte. Clean, spacious, quiet and cozy. Loved the heated tile flooring. We will definitely stay here when we return to CB.

Great place!

House was great! We had 5 adults and 2 kids and the place was perfect! Really helped having kid toys, pack n play, baby gates, etc. Walking distance to everything and very close to park. Loved it!

Our dog loved it!

This little house was perfect! It had everything we needed, plenty of space for our group and was in the best location! The owners were very easy to work with and were more than happy to accommodate us when we decided to bring our dog last minute! He loved their cool tile floors, their yard and how close we were to the rec path - perfect for early morning walks!

Magical Place

Thank you for a wonderful place to stay in Crested Butte. The city and mountains are breathtaking, only a few blocks from the nordic trails, and stars overhead absolutely wowed, right out the front door. Property was so clean, manager and owner very responsive, felt like home. Loved this place so much I just booked it again. Thank you.

3 Day Getaway

The house was perfect for our 3 generation family. The kids loved the loft!! The short 200 yard walk to the park was a really nice surprise. Best park in town right out our door. Laura was amazing to work with and my conversation with her on the phone was very helpful and enjoyable.

A wonderful place to stay

We had our family with us and my grandkids didn’t want to leave. They are 6, 6 and 8 and with their my son-in-law they climbed to the top of the Crested Butte mountain. We got to see the 4th of July parade along with the fire department water fun where the kids got sprayed. All in all a tremendous week!

The Yellow House is Awesome!

We have stayed here twice, and would not stay anywhere else in Crested Butte! It’s cozy, (gets the afternoon sunshine :), spacious, generously stocked with all kinds of amenities, thoroughly cleaned with fresh linens and lots of towels, and comfortable heated tile flooring throughout the lower bedrooms/bathroom. What a treat! A great location…easily walkable to the quaint downtown area and accessible to cross county skiing area. Highly recommend staying here. The hosts, Laura & Mike, have thought of everything to make this home feel like a “home away from home.”

Perfect

This was such a cozy duplex/townhouse that had enough room for us all comfortably. It’s just a short walk to downtown (which we made daily), and rainbow park is around the corner. We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay. We brought our hiking backpack for our toddler, but were pleasantly surprised to find one in the condo, along with a stroller. We will defiantly be back!

Perfect location.

Laura was so very helpful and accommodating during the process of booking and whilst we were staying. The house was well stocked with all the necessities and more. My only complaint is that all the cupboards had stuff in so it was quite cluttered and not as easy to hang clothes up and put things away.. We would have liked proper full baths (but we are English and we LOVE our baths!) and the water seemed to run out at a certain point so they were t great. On the whole a great house and Laura a great host.

We are sorry to hear you felt the closets were cluttered - we keep items in there for our guests such as ironing board, pack and play etc. and have never had an issue fitting our clothes for a 3 month stay which we do every summer. Also we’ve never had an issue with the water “running out” or complaints of this in the bath but we will certainly look into it. Hope to host you again in CB on your next trip across the pond ! Mike is an emergency physician and Laura is a retired physical therapist and health care administrator. They both love the CB outdoors for cycling, hiking, running and skiing. They live in Austin, TX with their two daughters and two dogs.

Why they chose this property

Mike started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much he kept coming back. When we started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.

What makes this property unique
