Spacious home right on Lake Morey, a tranquil, spring-fed lake with crystal clear waters, nestled between the Green and White mountains. Spend time in a land of a bygone era, with bald eagles and loons sharing time with you on this lovely lake. Weeklong minimum required during summer (Sun to Sun)

Oversized Private Dock with room to tie off a boat if desired.

Four roomy bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and exposed rafters, all with AC and ceiling fans.

Master bedroom - one queen bed, one twin bed - 2nd floor
Second bedroom - one queen bed, two twin beds - 2nd floor
Third bedroom - one queen bed - 2nd floor
Fourth bedroom - one double bed - 2nd floor

Bathroom and shower on first floor, Bathroom on 2nd floor with classic clawfoot tub, and an Enclosed outdoor shower.

Gorgeous cook's kitchen where you're able to prepare meals overlooking the lake, with granite countertops and deep double corian sink.
Relax in the large, comfortable living room and enjoy gazing at the lake in the beautiful four season porch as you eat your meals. Walk out onto the 40' wraparound deck.

Stroll out to the private dock to spend time out on the water in one of the charming Adirondack chairs. At night, light a fire in one of the 2 chimineas on the deck or dock, and watch the fireflies pass by as you relax.

Explore the lake on the 2 kayaks, a paddle board, and a canoe. Use a gas or charcoal grill to BBQ your dinner.

High Chair and Child's Pack and Play for sleeping provided.

Sunday to Sunday for week long stays - Required in Summer

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please have run and empty the dishwasher in advance of leaving.
Please bring the garbage to the transfer center between 9:00 - 11:00 Saturday, taking remaining trash with you Sunday. I do charge $25 per bag for left behind trash.
Summer: turn all thermostats off. Winter: please close all doors including internal sliders. The two upstairs bedrooms nearest the bathroom and the living room please set to 50 degrees, others off.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Bed linens and towels not provided. Please bring. See room and bed details.

This place was pure peace. Each morning started with the gentle sound of loons and coffee by the dock, surrounded by beautiful views. The perfect escape to slow down and recharge.

Graduation lake house

Very nice lake house. Comfortable for our group of 7. Very convenient to Hanover/dartmouth. The lake is beautiful-great views from the deck.

Great spot for a family vacation

We loved our stay! My family and I stayed with my sister and her family, and all the grownups and all the kids (ages 6 weeks to 6 years) had a great time. The porch and the lake access made for a truly perfect vacation.

We loved our stay at the Lake House! It was the perfect spot from which to base our family for an extended week on the lake, visiting our kids at camp over Visiting Weekend, and hiking in the Green and White Mountains. The house was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. It was great to have air-conditioning on the 90 degree days. The water pressure was great and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. It was also great to have all of the water toys available for our use. I would 10/10 stay here again.

Family camp

This is the second year we have stayed at Thomas’s cottage. There are 8 of us in the family and everyone had a good time..fishing, swimming, playing games and doing crafts..oh, and eating!

Lake House

This was just what we expected. a 4 bedroom house on Lake Morey which was in good conidition, right on the lake. Thomas was accurate in his portrayal of the property which was well taken care of. Would definitely consider going back when we return to the area, hopefull in the fall

Beautiful property!

Beautifully, well maintained and VERY clean property! This house is truly a gem, as its original character has been preserved. The bedrooms are all upstairs and are very nice! Such a comfy place with warm decor; very comfortable for 6 adults! Plenty of space! Loved the deck and the dock - mornings and evenings were spent with coffee cups and drinks, watching the sunrise and set, watching the mist on the lake...absolutely wonderful! Thomas was the ultimate host; any question we had, from the very beginning, was answered completely and promptly. He was very accommodating, responsive and truly interested in our comfort. Note: My mother was originally supposed to travel with us; however, she ended up not accompanying us. I fear the stairs would have been too much for her to manuever, so others should use caution when considering having the elderly stay with them at this property. The stairs are very well maintained; however, they are original and quite narrow. All in all, a very enjoyable, relaxing stay as we celebrated my son's wedding in the beautiful state of Vermont! Thank you, Thomas!

A lovely vacation on Lake Morey

Our family had a great stay at Thomas's place. The house was just the right size for 6 adults and we loved the flow from the large, well equipped kitchen into the comfortable living room, onto the sunny, screened in porch where we played many games and ate our meals. Both the outside deck and dock had more than enough room for all of us, and we enjoyed our time in the lake. Thomas was very responsive to our questions and I would highly recommend this property!

Our family looks for a place to rent together each summer on a nearby lake . There are 8 of us. We had a excellent time on Lake Morey. Boating, swimming and fishing were all great. And the house itself was just right.

Spacious Lakeside Vacation Home

This was a great place to stay for the weekend with family. The kitchen, living room and dining rooms are spacious making it a great place to host. The house sits above the lake and the large deck offers great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There is also a large dock to relax and swim off.

A Wonderful Lakeside Vacation

Lake Morey is a gorgeous lake. We watched the fog cover the water and the the hillside in the early morning while listening to loons swimming and diving. As the sun broke out, we loved to watch the blue water and the green hillside begin to appear. A huge eagle flew over our dock daily, diving for a fish to eat for breakfast. Listening to small waves lap against the rocks made for a peaceful evening. Besides enjoying the beauty, we swam and paddled the canoe and made several trips to the Gladstone Creamery! We loved the large, open porch and spent hours there overlooking the lake. The cottage had plenty of room for our son and his grandchildren. The cottage is not fancy; it's comfortable and provides everything we needed. It was exactly what we were hoping for and would love to return again.

Wonderful Family Home

A lovely, comfortable home with a great view of the lake from a large, beautiful deck. The dock at lakeside was a great gathering spot for the family. Thomas, the owner, was reachable for questions and very accommodating. We hope to return next summer.

Great Lake and location

We enjoyed our stay Thomas was very responsive to minor issues. Only one Bathroom with a shower however outdoor in closed shower was very helpful. We loved our stay and would do it again. Having the inn is a big plus for recreation and dining. Wings the local grocery store is great as is the van for bbq.

Vermont getaway

This place served our needs very well. We have friends on the lake and were able to boat and tube. The family canoed around the lake using the canoe at the residence. We hiked every day and trails were close by. We loved the large dining table and enjoyed the lake overlook for dining and game playing one of the several games at the residence. We were surprised there was no television but there was no suggestion of one in the advertising. My one suggestion would be to provide some sort of window fan for the seating area as it gets very warm when the temps are in the high 80’s and 90s. Cross ventilation was limited in this area due to broken screen in stairwell. Internet was not the best but I believe that is a product of the area between the mountains. Overall we would highly recommend this rental.

Perfect introduction to Vermont

We had two families and were in town for a wedding at Lake Morey Resort! 5 min walk to the resort and we spent all of our downtime enjoying the dock, decks, a fire, swimming in the lake, fishing and canoeing! Wonderful and relaxing! Had everything we needed and more!

Perfect house for family of all ages.

This is our 3rd year staying at this home. It has everything we needed to have a nice relaxing weekend. We spent most of our time on the large beautiful dock. I wish we didn’t have to deal with bringing our own sheets and towels. We missed the jukebox but appreciated the bottle of wine! We have already booked for next year!

Could not have asked for a better setting and comfortable spot. Loved the dock and deck. The only inconvenience was having to bring all bedding and towels and deal with trash and cleaning.

Lake Morey

Thomas’s house is an ideal place to stay - great location right on the water and all amenities included. Plenty of space for our family and we all enjoyed many hours on the dock; swimming, fishing, kayaking or just enjoying the view. It was always peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend!

I grew up in New York state and moved to NH after graduating from Clarkson. My son and I love Lake Morey and come up as much as we can. My son thinks of Vermont consists pretty much of just Lake Morey.

Why they chose this property

When I was a child my family would come up to Lake Morey for the last week in summer and visit my Aunt Edith who had a cottage on the lake. As an adult living in New Hampshire I always remembered those fun times and looked on the lake for a cottage. Mine is right across from my Aunt's old cottage!

What makes this property unique

Great place for family gatherings! Right on the water. Large private dock. Canoe and Kayaks. Private road parking.
