Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7-9)
Look no further, this really is the ULTIMATE cabin for your summer or winter vacation! In November 2010, we purchased this lovely, smoke-free, cabin (built June 2010) in beautiful Island Park, Idaho. It's just a 30 minute drive to Yellowstone National Park, but that's only the beginning.
Located in the center of the Island Park area you have access to fishing, wildlife viewing, and snowmobiling/four wheeling right from the front door. We have plenty of off street parking for your toys.
We have really gone above and beyond and have spared no expense to make our cabin an exceptional place to stay while offering an incredible value for your money!
Our cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with convenient appliances, including a full size washer & dryer inside the unit. You can relax with our gas stove, roomy bathrooms and attractive furnishings. Smoking is not allowed.
We have a king-sized bed in the master bedroom with an extra comfy pillow top mattress, a queen-sized bed in the upstairs bedroom, and two more queens and a twin in the loft. There is also a pullout couch in the living room downstairs. The dining room table is large and can accommodate up to 9. There is a "full" bathroom downstairs and a very roomy "3/4" bathroom upstairs with a shower, but no tub.
The cabin is stocked with everything that will make your stay comfortable and fun! We have a total of 2 TVs with DVD players (a 46' flat screen in the living room, and a smaller t.v. in the upstairs 'kids corner'.) We also provide a selection of movies for the whole family. The summer of 2012 we added Direct t.v. and internet service. Cell phone coverage is available.
Your kids will love the books, board games and toys that we provide. After a long day of having fun, you are welcome to use the gas grill on our patio, and make S'mores, sing campfires songs, and tell ghost stories around the fire pit.
We look forward to welcoming you!

About Regina Eliason
My husband and I are from Utah. We have one daughter and an English Bulldog. I am a stay at home mom who enjoys photography, knitting, and digital scrapbooking.
Regina Eliason purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Regina Eliason chose Island Park
Our family loves to snowmobile, fish, ride 4 wheelers, hike, and camp. We also LOVE Yellowstone. After our third trip in one summer to the area, we decided we should buy a cabin so we can have a comfy place to stay each and every time we visit Island Park.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin was built in 2010. It has a fully stocked kitchen, complete with dishwasher, microwave and coffee pot. Full size washer and dryer are on site and ready to use. TV and DVD player in the living room, and also in the loft for the little ones. A DVD library, bean bag chairs, toys, and games, even a high chair and pack-n-play style crib. Doorstep access to MILES of trails (some say 400 miles, some say 600 miles... when we ride them ALL, we'll let you know for sure.) Trails are groomed for snowmobiling in winter, and accessible to four wheeling in summer. Many cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails are nearby. Over 50 awesome fishing holes, and rivers for the fisherman. Wildlife, such as swans, moose, deer, and other critters abound. Only 30 minutes from Yellowstone National Park for even more wildlife viewing. Smoking is not allowed. This really is the ULTIMATE cabin rental!

Great cabin with enough room for all seven of us.
A wonderful cabin. It was a great place to come home to at the end of a day of exploring Yellowstone.
Clean & Comfortable.
Forest Haven is a clean, comfortable, and cozy cabin. Owner is fast to respond and great to work with! I like the location, which is short distance from busier places of Island Park; is more private. We will definitely stay here again. Unforseen community water problems arose (nothing to do with this property), and the owner, & maintenance contact were quick to respond and help. Thanks to Regina for being great to work with and allow us to stay!
We loved it!
The cabin was just as described. It was nice and clean and had everything that we needed to enjoy an amazing weekend of snowmobiling.
It was great!
The cabin was great, the only issue we had was the driveway was not cleaned out so it made it more difficult to maneuver the trucks and trailers around. there was plenty of room to park and unload but would have been easier if the entrance on each side were made open wider.
Cabin was comfortable for the 6 of us easy, and would come back again. Easy to get to the beautiful snowmobile trails.
The experience with VRBO was a good one too. I was also impressed with the refund of our damage deposit returned so quickly.
Thank you, Rob and Sandy Greene
Thank you so much.
Very clean and well appropriated, some access issues
My wife and I very much enjoyed our time at forest haven. We came to enjoy several days of snowmobiling in beautiful island park and have stayed many times in this area of island park. The cabin was very clean, cleaner than other places we have stayed, the master bedroom bed was very comfortable with warm comfortable linens and the kitchen contained all the necessary equipment for any cooking you would like, the WiFi functioned well and was reliable, available linens were of good quality.
I gave 4 stars for a couple of reasons. We arrived with an enclosed 4 place snowmobile trailer and different than other properties I have rented in the shotgun area, the road and property are not able to accommodate snowmobile trailers. Would have had difficulties even with a smaller trailer. I had to park my trailer a fair distance away which was a significant inconvenience. Perhaps this was my bad as in the past I have made clear with owners prior to rental whether the property can accommodate such a trailer, I guess I have come to expect that when going to island park in winter most people are coming to snowmobile and ownership should have been more clear about the accessibility. Second, the driveway was not plowed and the steps were not shoveled when we arrived. Having driven down the “road” with a large trailer I got stuck and spent a great deal of time gettin my vehicle and trailer back out which was again a significant inconvenience. I think that knowing guests are arriving, in addition to having the place clean it would be best to have the driveway and steps as clear as possible even in island park in winter. Had I known of these access issues I likely would have not rented this property as a snowmobiler bringing my own sleds and trailer. My last complaint was regarding the cable tv, age restrictions prevented watching programming that I would typically watch at home, and I am not referring to “adult” programs.
So in closing the cabin itself alone would get 5 stars but as a snowmobiler renting this particular “property”, be aware of the limitations I have described.
Very nice vacation cabin.
The property is very clean and cheerful. Its the perfect distance
from Yellowstone National Park to begin your adventures.
