Solymar - Fabulous Oceanfront - 150 steps to stairs to the Beach!

Location, Location, Location!!
This oceanfront beach house has panoramic water views, and is located in the National Seashore. Your private dune access to the Ocean north of Lecount Hollow Beach is only steps away. Enjoy great surf, body, and skim boarding, or seashell collecting on one of Cape Cod's nicest beaches. If fishing is your thing, set up your surf rods and catch ''keepah'' stripers right from the beach.
This ''upside down'' house has three bedrooms downstairs, and the open kitchen and living area upstairs, so that you can spend every waking moment staring out across the open sea. Sleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. The large wraparound decks are perfect for dining, or just soaking up the sun/shade. Bilevel decks have been completely rebuilt with trex (no splinters). New kitchen and baths installed in 2013. Enjoy panoramic ocean views from both levels. We have also added direct slider access to the lower deck from two of the bedrooms.

The house was a perfect size and layout for our family of 4, but of course, the location is the most spectacular: a short stroll to the staircase down to the beach.

Great house in great location

Solymar, as this house is known, provides incredible access to the best elements of a Cape vacation: a vast ocean view, wonderful sea breezes throughout the house, and proximity to amazing beaches, sites, and food. What a treasure!!!

A Cape Cod First

Clean, good condition and had all the amenities we were looking for plus a beautiful view on the bluff. The 3rd twin bedroom was tight quarters for an adult but made it work. Great location in walkable distance from the public beach entry if not willing/able to take the steep steps. Wellfleet was a good location for quaint shops and a variety of restaurants and between Provincetown and Hiannas for tour/ferry.

Beautiful view of the ocean from upstairs of the house. Award winning bakery PB's Boulangerie is conveniently located and it's pastries and bread is out of the world delicious 😋 Property manager and owner Anne are so responsive and helpful!

Embraced by waves and breeze

Listen to the joyful noise of waves and feel the breeze dancing around, it is like living the dream. The view through the oversized windows are even more stunning than the picticures, which are impressive already, on website. The helps provided by the owner Anne and maintenace manager are exemptary. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

A lovely stay at Solymar!

Such a wonderful time spent here. Wonderful sunrises and view of the ocean right from the deck. A well appointed kitchen which allowed us to eat in and prepare picnic lunches for the beach. Tons of privacy, tucked off on a side road away from traffic. We were there during Hurricane Lee and the house was rock solid, while giving us an oceanside view of the storm and amazing waves while we watched safely from the comfort of the bluff. We felt safe here in every way. And a fantastic location, convenient to absolute everything while not being in the middle of everything!

Beautiful Winter Getaway

My partner and I along with our 7 month old and our cat stayed for two weeks at the beginning of December. We were looking for a place to relax and be together before the holidays. Solymar was the perfect find. The cottage is beautiful and cozy. It was just what we were looking for. We will miss waking up to the amazing views of the ocean every morning. We were able to do some Christmassy things while we were here because alot of the surrounding towns have holiday events. Anne was a wonderful host and we really appreciated how quickly she responded whenever we reached out and how thoughtful she was. She even reached out to tell us about events happening while we were here. We loved our time here and will definitely be back! The cottage was extremely clean and you will be amazed at the incredible views. Thank you Anne, we loved our stay!!!

Lovely Offseason stay at Sol y Mar!

My family and I have been coming to Wellfleet and surrounding areas for over 20 years and Sol y Mar is one of the finest places we've stayed! What's the famous real estate phrase? Location, location, location. Sol y Mar is in the right location! The ocean views in the listing pictures don't do justice to being there either in the living room or on the deck. It didn't matter that we were there during the holidays in December because the ocean view is spectacular any day of the year as soon as you come up the stairs! The kitchen was stocked perfectly for the couple of meals that we cooked. The dining area was where I checked in with the world on my laptop while taking a peak at the morning sun peaking off the horizon. The sofa and loveseat in the living room were nicely facing each other for an intimate setting. Downstairs in the bedrooms, each room appeared to be furnished with new, or relatively new mattresses. I would be remiss if I didn't mention getting a relaxed feeling when our car pulled into the lovely pebble driveway and realizing we were on vacation right at that moment! Great job to Anne and the great touches to a very fine home!

Exceptional Property

It was easy to see why this property was rated so highly and did not disappoint in any way. Communication with the owner and property manager was outstanding. The location and 180 degree view of the ocean was a highlight. As an avid photographer, I was able to capture many outstanding photos of water and air sports as well as superb star scapes while sitting on the second story deck or in the second story living room. Additionally, Wellfleet Audubon was a ten minute drive away and provided outstanding avian photo opportunities. A twenty minute drive brought me to photo opportunities in the dunes surrounding Provincetown. The bike path traversing the National Sea Shore was 3 minutes away. The only disappointment was not being in the position to stay longer!

Solymar was a beautiful cottage with lovely ocean views. The owner and caretaker were readily available for any questions. They allowed us to bring our small dog with us- which was a huge help!! Our favorite nearby restaurant was Van Rensaleers. We also enjoyed the food at The Bookstore and Restaurant. We would happily return to Solymar!!!❤️

Wellfleet house

Nice, clean, updated house. The upper level is open with large windows and a vaulted ceiling. Very nice decks. Just a heads up that bath towels and bed linens are not provided. Overall a very nice experience.

Beach right outside your door and wonderful views of the sea!

My husband and I spent a week here with my dad. It is a clean, light space with views of the sea from the deck, living room, and well-stocked kitchen. Fun to watch the kites (and people!) fly by your window. If you love to walk beaches, you couldn’t ask for a better place!

Exactly what we hoped for!

Solymar was exactly what we were looking for! Spectacular views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Watching the sunrise every morning right from the deck was awesome! The house was exactly as shown on line, and clean & well stocked. We had high expectations & were not disappointed!

What a view!

The house is ideally situated on the coast in a great part of the Cape. We enjoyed listening to the ocean as we fell asleep at night and breathtaking sunrises in the morning. The floor to ceiling windows in the living space generate an instantaneous sense of calm. My most common thought during my time at this house was there's no place I would rather be.

We loved tour stay at Solymar! The property was exactly as shown and described. Words can't describe the beautiful views of the ocean out of the magnificent windows! The location was perfect. We had everything we needed to make our stay perfect - hopefully we will return soon!

Ideal cape cod house.

The views from the house are so spectacular that you could spend your time on the two large decks. But the cape is all about the water and sea food. For these the location is perfect, with direct access to the ocean beach, close to the ponds and the town of Wellfleet. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. I will go back.

I grew up spending summers on this street. We have traveled around the world and have found that there is not a more beautiful beach than that of the Atlantic which stretches along the Outer Cape. You can walk many miles in each direction.

And with the 180 degree views of the ocean, you won't have to!
