Great location. Loved it. Fully stocked kitchen equipment. Highly recommend
This home is totally comfortable and is a relaxing place to vacation. It is close to a walking path (which you can see in the photo), that takes you different directions and parts of the path are along the ocean. The explanation given by HomeAway is complete so I don't feel I need to add to it. Relax and enjoy.
Thank you for staying at Hale Poipu. We are pleased that you loved the location, setting and close proximity to Shipwreck Beach and the coastal heritage trails. We hope that you saw whales turtles and monk seals, also!
It was absolutely FANTABULOUS!! Flew over to Pearl Harbor, very humbling........Ate at the Tidepool at the Grand Hyett, and it was amazing! The house had everything we needed and it was just a short walk to the beach and to Kalapaki Joe's for beer and chicken wings! :) Thanks again Patty and Pam.................:)
Thank you for staying at our vacation home! We appreciate all of your nice compliments. Next time, try the teriyaki chicken bowl at the Marriott Waipahu beach grill! No shortage of good eats in the Poilu resort area.
The property is well cared for and shows a pride of ownership.
This home has two master suites, and a small apartment below the house. This apartment only has an outside entrance, so did not work for us to have two small children stay there. Fortunately, the house was large enough to accomodate all six of us - especially with the lovely deck adding so much outside space.
The kitchen was especially well equipped, providing everything we needed. The garage contained many beach and yard toys, we used the chairs, coolers and umbrellas for our beach trips.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to downsize the furniture a bit - seemed to get in the way of people using the rooms.....
Overall a lovely stay - very responsive owners and easy to work with.
Thank you for staying with us and for your kind comments. We hope to see you again in the future. Patty and Pam
Great location, great house
The house is located walking distance from several great beaches. It’s nicely decorated and stocked with the necessities.
Thank you! We are happy to hear that you liked the home and great location. Hope that you'll be back again in the future! Patty and Pam
Does it get any better than this???
Absolutely not! We truly loved every moment of our stay. If it were possible to post in all exclamation points I would! Hale Poipu is easy to get to, has fantastic views (of the ocean, but especially the night sky), super accessible to the Grand Hyatt next door (even if you only take the walk once it is completely worth it to get pictures, especially at sunset), and all of the beach equipment you could possibly need. The house is beautiful beyond words, and is fully stocked with everything you would need from towels and toilet paper to doing laundry or making a meal. I would recommend getting there first to see what they have on hand in the kitchen before buying groceries, as you may be surprised at what is already there and end up with doubles (like we did). There were plenty of fans throughout the house, so together with the open windows and doors you really don't miss air conditioning.
SIDENOTE: The separate downstairs apartment does become particularly stuffy if the windows aren't open. If it's raining it may not be possible to keep the windows open, so you may want to put an extra fan in there.
Also, during our trip someone in our party inadvertently broke one of the sliding door handles, which Patty informed us about a couple of days after we left. We just want to thank Patty again who graciously handled this situation, and was able to get the remainder of our deposit back to us quickly.
Overall, if we are ever able to get back to Kauai (and Patty would have us), we would without a doubt stay here again! MAHALO!!!
Thank you for staying with us and for your great comments.
It was such a long journey for you to get to Kauai so we are delighted that everyone had such a great time! We hope that you will return again! Patty and Pam
