A 3-bedroom, 2-bath house in Bloomfield, Pittsburgh's Little Italy. West Penn Hospital is 0.2 miles away, UPMC Shadyside and Children's are about 4 minutes by car, and Pitt's campus in Oakland is about 5. Four real beds sleep 8, every bedroom has its own desk and chair, parking for 2 cars is free in front of the house, and stays of a month or longer are welcome.

THE HOME
The whole house is yours: a stand-alone home with a small front yard and no shared spaces.

Kitchen: stainless appliances, gas stove, granite counters, dishwasher, an island with bar seating and a Keurig coffee station.
Living room: Smart TV with DIRECTV STREAM and plenty of seating.
Dining room: table for 8, a desk, a coat closet and a sideboard stocked with table settings.
Bathrooms: two full baths with tubs, a makeup mirror, hair dryer, towels and toiletries.
Laundry: washer and dryer in the basement.
Also: central air, ceiling fans, fast Wi-Fi with ethernet, a pack 'n play and baby gates.

Bedroom 2: queen bed
Bedroom 3: two double beds
Each bedroom has a dresser, closet, luggage rack, Smart TV, a work desk and chair, and room-darkening shades. An air mattress is available for a 9th guest. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are steep.

WHO STAYS HERE
Families visiting someone at West Penn or UPMC. Travel nurses and people on work assignments. Parents visiting students at Pitt, Carnegie Mellon, Carlow and Chatham, all within about 10 minutes by car. Wedding parties in the East End. If you're here for a week or a month, ask us about longer-stay rates.

PARKING AND CHECK-IN
Free parking for 2 cars in front of the house, on a dead-end block. Self check-in with a keypad code. The house has a security system, and there's a doorbell camera at the front entrance.

GETTING TO THE DOOR (PLEASE READ)
The house is set back from Yew St. You walk down concrete steps and an uneven path that can be slippery in rain or snow. It isn't a good fit for guests with mobility or balance concerns, or for anyone who can't manage heavy luggage on steps. We send photo directions before you arrive. After dark, plan on using your phone's flashlight.

It's a city block. A rail line runs behind the house, and there's a bar around the corner.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Bloomfield is known for its old-school Italian bakeries, pizzerias and delis on Liberty Avenue. It also has cafes, global restaurants, record and book shops, and taverns with live music. Little Italy Days, a three-day street festival of food and music, takes over the neighborhood every August.

HOUSE RULES
Dogs are considered with approval and a pet fee. Please ask for our pet questionnaire before booking.
No smoking inside. Smoke odor removal is charged to the reservation.
No parties or events.
Visitors: please tell us if anyone beyond your booked guests will be at the house. Anyone here after 11 p.m. counts as a guest, and the extra-guest fee of $25 per person per night applies above 4 guests.
No cooking strong aromatic foods such as curry or fish fry. Our turnover between guests doesn't allow time to clear the smell, and a cleaning fee of $250 or more applies.
