MM was a great place for us to stay, me, my son, and Pilot, the Golden. Private location, fairly easy access, nice lay out and cozy. View was fantastic, ever changing, clouds, layers of mountains. Stone work is great, good dog walking area. We will return.
This property offers exactly what the web cite says. The views are incredible. It has everything even board games for the kids. We had a hard time finding the property and they came to our rescue and drove us to it. Way beyond customer service.

Thank you so much for your kind words!! It was a pleasure meeting you Denise and I hope we get to see you again soon :)
Great Place to stay, don’t check out on Sunday though
This place was very nice and suited the group we were with. My only complaint would be the trash procedure. The home-guide stated to “Please make sure all bags are securely tied closed and put in the outside trash can(s)”. Instead, this property actually requires guests to take trash out to the local trash center, which is no issue at all. The problem I had was that all the trash centers in the area are closed on Sundays (the day of our checkout). Other than that, would recommend this place, just not for Sunday checkouts.

We enjoyed our visit this weekend. The home was ready and felt like home. We celebrated a birthday and spent time with our kids. We will be back soon. The home is the perfect place to gather and spend quality time with family.
First of all, the house, grounds, and views are absolutely gorgeous! We decorated for Christmas inside and out. Thanks for allowing us to do that. Our Hallmark Christmas movie experience was perfect. Watching my grandchildren coming down the staircase to see what santa left was priceless. We also took them to Tweetsie for their Christmas train ride. It was wonderful. Just a couple of things that we found that could have been better. Another tv upstairs for kids would've been so helpful. Especially after dark. Some kind of window treatment would be great! We wore sunglasses inside! The temp rose to 85 inside! Simple blinds would've helped so much! Maybe invest in r/c blinds. Anyway, thanks again for allowing my family to spend the holiday in your home!
The process of renting and updated email from property management went very smoothly.
The Mountain Moments log home was extremely clean, well furnished and had the most wonderful view from living area and deck.
I highly recommend this property for the perfect mountain get-away!
This house was perfect for three couples. The porch and views are fantastic. Nice fire pit area just off the porch. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need and more!! The house was given to us very clean. The living room furniture has been replaced with a large sectional which is super comfy. I agree with previous reviews about the beds but it wasn't like we didn't sleep well. Centrally located for excursions in every direction from the house. Walmart and Ingles grocery are about a 15 minute drive. Very very steep drive up to the house. Would highly recommend this home.
The home was beautiful and well equipped. If you like staying in and cooking, the kitchen has anything you may need to prepare a great meal. The location is a bit far from tourist destinations. But the views are wonderful
This log cabin nestled in the woods was amazing! It was quiet and peaceful with many things to do within a 30-60min drive. The views of the mountains from the widow wall in the living room and the back porch were outstanding, the stars were brilliant each night, and the fire pit and grill provided a camping-feel without having to camp out. We drove the BlueRidge Parkway and visited Chimney Rock, Mount Mitchell (the highest summit in the East) and Catawba Falls during our stay. One spot was more breathtaking than the next and they were all dog friendly! If we had a couple more days we'd have definitely spent them solely enjoying the cabin atmosphere. We would highly recommend staying here, and you can bring the whole family (furry four legged babies included.)
Very nice cabin , neat and clean
Every time we had some issues the responses were immediately.
We had problem with the air conditioner, service was sent the next day
The cabin is located on a hill and is well situated so that the views from the large deck are beautiful.
The cabin was a good size for 5 or 6 people. (The listing states that it sleeps 7 people, but the day bed at the top of the stairs cannot really be used to sleep as all the heat rises and makes the area too hot to sleep.)
The kitchen in the cabin is adequately equipped. It would be good if the property management company (Carolina Properties) would check things such as the refridgerator lights and oven lights worked.
Prospective renters should be aware that they need to dispose of trash at a facilty about 2 miles away - unless they want to pay a trash collection fee of $25 plus $2 per bag.
Note that the internet speed is challenging and it does limit internet usage if that is something you typically use a lot. The TV provider is Dish, so the signal can go out during heavy rain or a storm. (It was out for an evening during our stay.)
Note that this review requires a rating of the communciation with the property manager, however there was no direct communication other than a couple of e-mails sent out with information about the property and door code.
Overall our stay at the cabin was enjoyable.
Incredibly beautiful, the views amazing , the kitchen area fun ,comfortable even the dishwasher was so useful we had a lovely, peaceful and blessed vacation 100% recommend it.
The pictures did not do it justice! From the views to the cabin itself, was MORE than expected. It was clean, well stocked roomy, and the booking process was easy. We felt at home the moment we walked in. We will definitely make this a family tradition for years to come!! Highly recommended.
Tranquil, relaxing and perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family
Nestled near the top of the mountain lies this beautiful log cabin with amazing views of the surrounding area. The wrap around deck provided an opportunity to watch the sunrise and set as we relaxed around the fireplace and played board games with our kids. Out front there is a hammock to relax on and a fire pit to roast marshmallows for smores.
Kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots, pans and cooking accessories that we were able to cook an amazing Thanksgiving dinner without worrying about not have utensils or cooking ware.
So close to Lake Lure's amazing little town where we had pizza, visited Granfather Mountain and just an hour drive away we visited the Mile High Bridge. This was our first time visiting North Carolina and we will definitely be back.
