What a beautiful house in the most perfect location! The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment (and some food for us), the beds incredibly comfortable, and numerous spaces where we could relax together, including a huge porch (with a swing!) that overlooks the Farmington River. The house has so much light that I kept going to turn off the overhead light, only to realize that it wasn’t on! Just a few blocks away, there’s an awesome deli (LaSalle’s Market and Deli) that was perfect for breakfast and for getting a few items we wanted. There’s an excellent pizza place (ABC Pizza), and the town is adorable and very accessible by foot. We loved staying here and hope to do so again in the near future!!

This was the perfect location for my out-of-town coworkers to come and get a little taste of Northwest Connecticut. We were able to work out out of the dining room for the few days they were in town. The Wi-Fi was great, the property was very clean and very well put together and we had a great stay. Highly recommend!

Cute house, beautiful town

What a great location. The house is right across the street from the river, which has a great walking/biking path so you don't have to be on the street. There are 2-3 restaurants within a 5-minute walk as well as a small but well-stocked liquor store and some small shops. The house itself is very old but has been updated in many places, including what looks like a brand new kitchen and front porch. Overall we had a great visit and the host Carol was very easy to work with and helpful with our few questions.

I didn't realize how much pleasure I'd take in hearing from our guests what a beautiful spot we have. I think if you stay here you'll agree!
I enjoy gardening, so you can enjoy the perennial gardens without the care involved.
I live right near by so I am available for any questions you have or anything you find you need.

Why they chose this property

Collinsville is a charming little old Mill Town overlooking the Farmington River. Rails to Trails offers walking, biking, running opportunities. Cute cafes and shops downtown. Close to lots of other things happening in the Farmington Valley. Also close to all the private schools if you're visiting your child... Avon Old Farms, Ethel Walker, Miss Porter's, Westminster.

What makes this property unique

This is a beautiful antique Craftsman home set overlooking the river. It honestly is the best house in Collinsville!
