San Felipe Creek runs through the town and creates refreshing swimming spots in a couple of areas. Y'all need to ready yourselves for some triple digit heat, because it's a regular occurence in sunny Del Rio. From May to September, temperatures average in the mid 90s, while January hits lows in the 40s. But it's not crazy to get an 80-degree day in the winter either. Also, it's dry. Once in a while, there's a summer shower, but rarely are you gonna get a drenching downpour. Basically, Del Rio's a desert, but with slightly more precipitation.
