Nestled serenely with abundant wildlife, and local wineries. Immerse in history at the Gold Rush Museum, explore charming downtown, and savor local sweets at the Fudge Factory. With nearby hiking trails, UNG's campus, and a short drive to local wineries, our cabin promises an unforgettable retreat. License #STR-0084



The Neighborhood:

Secluded mountain home on a gravel road. Check with host as road can be bumpy or uneven after rains. A 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is recommended to get to cabin.



Getting Around:

We are located only 10 minutes to UNG and Downtown Dahlonega. We are located on a gravel road and it can be bumpy at times. Most any car can travel on the road but we do recommend a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive for a better ride down the road.



Other Things to Note:

You will get a country massage on the way to the cabin. The gravel road is bumpy but the home and surroundings is worth it! :)

The host was pleasant and very attentive. The cabin was perfect for my weekend stay. Quiet location. My son had deer company while grilling. The road to the cabin was interesting but we didn’t have any problems. I would definitely stay there again.

This place is beautiful, setting is amazing, we had everything we needed and more. The only reason I have overall 4 stars instead of 5 is the road, lol. It is red dirt and bumpy that wasn’t really an issue to us, I just wasn’t prepared for it being one lane and all the curves and drop offs. I’m not saying it wasn’t worth the stay, it definitely is, but I was glad it wasn’t raining while we were there, haha. I may have missed what a steep and narrow road it was in the description, but not the owners fault either way. Signs were the same color as trees so just a tad hard to see at first. Otherwise we loved it! So peaceful and super close to downtown.

Had everything we needed. It is a wonderful property. The road was indeed bumpy but we had a all wheel drive jeep. Jason, our host was awesome, very responsive in a timely manner.

The host was very helpful and responsive via the messaging platform. The location was spectacular - truly unbeatable in our opinion! The pictures accurately portray the experience, and the place was clean upon arrival. Instructions for trouble-shooting the fireplace were clear and a nice perk to the visit. We want to come back!

Excellent place to stay and a fantastic host who was so easy to work with. Jason communicated very well, and the check-in was precisely as he stated in his email. I needed this to get away for a few days, and that is what this cabin allows you to do. I will be back very soon.

Great Mountain Getaway

A place up on a mountain is what we wanted and exactly what we got. House is very nice and if my family and I were to visit Dahlonega again I would stay here again. Had a great time despite the rain.

Cabin in the woods

This is a very sweet cabin set off in the woods yet not far from Dahlonega and all it has to offer. We enjoyed the cabin, especially the screen porch. All details of the cabin are as described. This is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay!

Property manager was very responsive but the location described accurately in the listing. We did have a 4 wheel drive vehicle but nothings tells you this is almost a requirement to get to cabin. Areas are not lit and nothing is marked well enough to see when you are arriving at night. Cabin had an odd oder as well. A musky smell that made my sinuses very irritated. It was fine for the 2 nights we stayed but I would have been miserable having to stay any longer

I am sorry to hear this Carey. We do list a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. It is 1.5 miles into the woods so lights are not common in natural wooded areas. Relaxing Cabin in the Woods

This listing was relaxing and picturesque. We saw deer in the yard and the beautiful forest around the cabin. Though isolated, the place had WiFi and Roku TV. We enjoyed all the amenities and the host even decorated for Christmas. Would definitely book again.

Excellent home, host, and location!

I spent a long weekend here with my husband and in-laws, looking for a bit of a getaway after my recent surgery. The house is perfect: clean, well-appointed, peaceful, and in very close proximity to downtown Dahlonega. As a host, Jason was friendly and super responsive from the very beginning and seemed willing to assist however he could to make our stay comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this property if you are in need of a scenic and very relaxing visit to north Georgia.

Christmas in Dahlonega

The cabin was nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the stone fireplace and the screened in porch. The road going up the mountain was pretty rough. But overall we loved our stay at the cabin and the location was awesome. Dahlonega is such a quaint town especially at Christmas time. The town was like a Hallmark movie and we really enjoyed the Montaluca winery which was just a 15 min drive from the cabin
