1 820 maison de ferme qui a été maintenu très original. Les étages du conseil d'administration de large et tout le matériel d'origine et des charnières est une joie de voir. Le propriétaire a décoré avec goût, l'intérieur avec de belles antiquités. Vous vous sentirez comme vous avez remonté dans le temps où les choses étaient tellement beaucoup moins mouvementée. Prenez une boisson fraîche et de la tête à cette magnifique piscine. Apportez un bon livre et se préparer à se perdre dans des pensées pendant un certain temps. Si vous ne vous sentez comme un bon pied, il est autour de 100 acres ici pour explorer. Faites une promenade vers le grand étang ou dans la rue à la crique. Cette ancienne maison de ferme a été dans la même famille, il est toute la vie et la propriété elle-même remonte encore plus loin dans la même famille. Entrez et penser à mamies maison comme un gamin. La cuisine est prêt pour le grand repas de famille. Les espaces ouverts permettent de nombreux endroits confortables pour s'asseoir et parler, lire ou se faufiler une sieste rapide! Le porche trois saisons sur une extrémité est si doux. Toutes les chambres sont très spacieuses et les lits si confortable. Je pense que vous verrez que votre séjour dans cette vieille maison de ferme permettra de rajeunir votre âme. Nous sommes disponibles tous les quatre saisons et situés à proximité de beaucoup de choses à faire. Mohonk Park est très proche que Minnewaska State Park. Entre les deux, vous pourriez ne jamais manquer de lieux à explorer. Il ya des sentiers sans fin de transport à marcher ou monter et des panoramas à explorer avec des vues à baver pour. Cette ancienne maison de ferme sera un site de bienvenue à la fin d'une journée bien remplie. Nous sommes très près de la Shawangunk Ridge et tout le rocher de classe mondiale escalade qu'il offre. Nous sommes aussi dans le cœur de certaines terres agricoles tout simplement magnifique et le vin est énorme ici. Passez un peu de temps à explorer les nombreux sentiers de vin à proximité. Le village de New Paltz se trouve à proximité et a plusieurs magasins à grande épicerie. Le petit village de Gardiner est très proche et assez pittoresque. Tout désir de sauter en parachute? Endroit situé à proximité que vous pouvez faire. Je vous assure que ça va être difficile de quitter cette zone et revenir à la routine quotidienne. Bonne chose est que vous pouvez toujours revenir!

This vintage farmhouse is ideal for group gatherings. We had one couple in the ensuite room on the main floor and four singles upstairs with two sharing the two bed room, and one person on the sun porch on an air mattress he brought from home. The kitchen was well-equipped as was the pool area. Everyone raved about the house. Hope to be back!

Three of us stayed here for a reunion weekend. The highlight for us was the pool, which has plenty of items to float on and seating around the pool. We also very much enjoyed the sun room as place to spend time. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but found the dishes and tools we needed for simple food preparation. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels (both for inside and out by the pool). The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly (including once quite late at night when we had an unexpected issue with a smoke detector).

Imagine a house that has been in the family for generations and you take your kids every summer to visit, relax and enjoy each other. That’s what you get when you stay at this house; it comes with history and invites making memories. The pool is better than the pictures! It is set in large lawn with birdsong all about. Even if you don’t swim, sitting by the pool is relaxing and lovely. Inside, the house is roomy for a big family with lots of sitting rooms to come together in, or to sit apart. The dining room table is big and perfect for eating together. Comfortable, cozy beds for a good night sleep. The town of New Paltz has a ton to offer, too. The host, Lauren, was readily available to answer questions and was very welcoming. Thanks for the stay!

Peaceful Country Home Away from Home!

We stayed at the property when our son graduated from West Point. It was a 45 minute trip to the Academy, but not difficult to negotiate and we so looked forward to this tranquil setting as a welcome change from the hectic schedule of Grad Week. This IS an 1820 farmhouse, so go there with that expectation. The owners lived right next door but they were not intrusive; rather, we found them to be extremely accommodating to our needs and enjoyed talking to them about the history of the house and surrounding area. They were also helpful with information about restaurants and local grocery shopping. It was too cool during our stay to enjoy the pool, but it looked very inviting and was a nice area to sit and enjoy the sun. The bedrooms comfortably slept 7 people and an air mattress was provided for another person. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay!

Wonderful old home with lots of room

This place is just beautiful. It’s an early 19th century house that is so well maintained, full of lovely period furniture, well stocked, and has updates where you hope to have updates. Plenty of sleeping space available. A grocery store is just a couple miles down the road. Lauren was gracious and easy to contact. The pool and grounds are AMAZING! We had so much fun swimming and spending time with family. One caveat to the experience: this is an older home with stairs and thresholds - not accessible for mobility challenged individuals. We were able to give my 90 year old parents a peak of the place because they really wanted to see it but there is no way they could have stayed there (both use walkers). They loved it and they truly enjoyed joining us on the lawn (very accessible) but could not have stayed. We weren’t surprised by this and it was never intended they would stay, but I wanted to put it out there. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Nice historic home with way-back-when charm. Comfy rooms with nice bedding. A little musty but also very charming. The swimming pool is beautiful and it's a lovely expansive property is complete with flora and fauna. If you understand the colonial aspects and are fine with it, this is a cozy home and great place to enjoy for a reasonable rate in a nice area. We brought our own bottled water but the owner actually provides bottled water (TY!). If you are big into cooking bring your own knives (nothing's sharp) and prepare to make do with what they have as far as serving and cookware. Kitchen is old but there is a dish washer. Might bring my own Amazon Firestick next time to avoid all the fumfering around with theirs. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Lauren is a terrific host. She was super responsive and very attentive to any questions.The house was very comfortable for a group of five during a heatwave - it has great AC and the pool is a terrific amenity. The beds were very comfortable as well.We cooked both on the stove and grill, and it was pretty smooth.The yard has tons of room for games and ample shade. Also, it’s worth saying that the location can’t be beat - close to walk trails, farm stands, grocery stores, and several good restaurants. However, the reason this isn’t a full five star review is because the house has a few issues that could be tended to.The inside of the house is darker than the pictures show. More lighting would help. Additionally, the TV seems a bit older and has a strong blue tint that can’t be removed.Some of both the indoor and outdoor furniture needs to be replaced.Finally, while the hosts let us know that the water was filtered and okay to drink, when you run the hot water, there is a distinct sulfur odor, which is particularly bad in both showers.Overall though, this was a great place for a summer, long weekend stay with friends.

We have also changed the water filters, but the well water can still have a natural mineral/sulfur odor at times. The water is tested regularly and is completely safe to use and drink. The house was huge, clean and comfortable. The pool was amazing and fun. Only thing that would have made our stay better was to have the a/c on prior to our arrival. With as much rain as we had, and all the windows open, the house was warm and humid. Once i asked and got a/c info, it helped the situation.

Gorgeous Pool

The great location of this house and the beautiful property grounds provided a perfect solution to our socially distanced, outdoor visiting with friends, month. The saltwater pool is very large and gorgeous- on one side is a huge beautiful meadow with wildflowers, the other side, the towering trees on the property. When it was too hot to move, we lazed about the pool. A grill and large tables allowed for outdoor meals with friends. The owner is very responsive to any issues- For example, the grill didn't work so well so they replaced it within 2 days. While the house has large rooms, the antique furnishings and musty old house smell aren't the most comfortable. We got used to it and felt the trade off for the beautiful pool and grounds and fabulous pool met our needs.

Absolutely Fabulous

We had the most fantastic two weeks at Lauren's home in New Paltz. This historic home is fully stocked with everything you need for any length of time. The pool is beautiful and we spent many hours swimming and relaxing. My husband and I were also able to work remotely using the Wifi. The A/C kept us cool during the hot July days and nights. We wanted to leave NYC for 2 weeks during this pandemic period and we could not have dreamed of a better place to be. The house is ideally situated for quick trips into the village of New Paltz as well access to the beauty of the Hudson Valley. Lauren was a lovely host and we hope to return some day.

Large, spacious, in ground pool, quiet location

This house has pros and cons pros: The house built in 1820, has a lot of space, and a decent kitchen, and an in ground, clean, salt water pool. Lauren, our host is very nice. If you like old houses, this may be for you. Cons, the house smells musty. The wallpaper is peeling in many rooms. The indoor trim on the windows back porch need paint and repair. The pool appears to be held together with tape in 3 corners. The beds are lumpy, and the sheets don't fit well. The rugs feels dirty to the touch.

More than you'd expect

in an 1820 property. Clean, comfortable and roomy are the descriptors that come to mind. Our family of five adults had a wonderful time here. T'wood have been better as a summer retreat as we'd have been able to use the pool. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Lauren for your hospitality. N.
